Can anyone out there give me some help please? I won't name the company involved but I am a small cash and carry and I imported some shisha pens. Quite a few local businesses are selling them and they are popular as we have quite a few nightclubs here.
Got sent a letter saying they have an EU design patent on their diamond tip. I was really worried about this and had to spend money with my lawyer. He says I need to prove that a diamond tip was used before. He is not sure of this applies to the nicotine ones or just shisha.
Does anyone know if any brand used a diamond tip on a single use disposable in UK or Europe?
Really appreciate any help anyone can give me. I am really worried and I don't want to give up this profitable line because someone is bullying me.
Thank you all

So who did they say the patent holder is?
Although I doubt it's a patent unless it has a function. What is a diamond tip? A shape, a logo, a diamond?
Sounds more like a trademark.

Hello ahmedi, You are obviously a vendor & therefore need to apply for vendor status. Vendors are not allowed to post in the new members board, so none of our registered vendors, who are most likely the ones that could help you the most, can reply to you. To try to help you out, I'm going to move this thread to the general vaping board for now. However, do bear in mind that this forum is really not the place for prospective vendors to get assistance with their business ventures.

So agree Chrissie... I hope ahmedi is an honest trader, but it does seem a very strange first post. ??? As you say, if he becomes an accredited vendor I'm sure he will be able to to get the advice he needs from our established vendors.

watch this happen to all the clone resellers in the not so distant future.
any business who is dealing in clones is not worth spending money with IMO, when they get taken by the lawyers your warranty for non clone stuff will go with it.

Chinese Patents? Looser than a floozie at midnight in a brothel. That's the reason we have so many "Knock off's" and Clones. Ask Fasttech. Jag. (My first big smile of the day ......)

I was tempted to point out this myself Chrissie but after the fuss concerning another new member on Wednesday I decided to simply give my thoughts on the question he posed rather than be seen as being unwelcoming.

Wonder how much they charge?

The Chinese don't care if you are sued for selling counterfeit goods in UK. It's the British guy that will get fined/sent to jail for selling fake goods.
