What's wrong with the members search?

Whenever I try to search for a person on the members page I get a blue bear message?

OneDay Its probably proboards again although just tried it and its working for me which is no consolation but on the other hand I am having similar problems trying to get uefa Europa fantasy working so I feel your despair.

OneDay, there have again been issues with cloudflare over the last day or so. According to proboards support, cloudflare have had to block a major DDOS attack -

All of our inbound traffic routes via Cloudflare, much the same way as traffic to your home has to go via your ISP, and several backbone internet providers. In the same way as your ISP, or other backend connections, if Cloudflare experiences an issue in a region where you reside, you will experience the issue.

It brings many benefits, for example the CSS and JS etc that your forums use, will load from a location near you, rather than having to be transferred from North America. Another benefit is the DDoS protection.

With regards to other forums, its simply a case of individuals noticing a problem with their forum that they frequent more often, than another forum. Another forum could be down elsewhere, while yours is up.

So its less that PB is dependent on Cloudflare for smooth loading, and more that as with any internet provider, we need all paths to and from all users to be clear of traffic.

Todays incident was the result of a large scale attack against customers in a nearby geographical location to our Cloudflare routing causing congestion on the network.

A number of other services would have also been affected for users loading them in your geographical area, though similar to the other forum examples, you happened to not be using any of those services.

I refresh the new topics and the page could not be displayed, tried UKV as well and the same happened. 20 minutes later its back on. Wouldn't surprise me if the coalition is running it.

Dave theinhaler is having a problem accessing the Forum home page and can't start a thread on here.

He gets this message No site configured at this address  . . . it's still there after rebooting the PC/logging out and in again.

I'm wondering if his problem is linked this Chrissie?
