allow me to ramble...... apologies for lack of coherence/forethought/planning in this post..... (duplicated on Uk Vapers too.... heavens forgive me.....)

so this is a first post but I've already done my extensive (fairly) investigations/youtube watching/ECF/UKV/AAEC forum trawling etc etc etc..........

I've enjoyed watching and learned much from Scott, grimmgreen, basilray and Andy smoke2vape (who proves it's not actually a rule that you have to be festooned with tattoos/have a love of heavy metal/be pierced in lots of places to be into all this....)
... which is a relief given that I'm a nice, well-brought-up chap in an embarrasingly british, middle class/anally retentive kind of way... although I'm sure Andy isn't that!

began vaping about a month ago, already have a few mods; managed to skip the "standard" ciggy-like kit stage thanks to research.

got Sabertouch, Copper, Reo, Gary Dibley P/Thru (essential piece of kit this!)

already tried dual/triple cartos... Ikenvape and Cisco LR306 and 510 atty's.... tried 5v, 6v and 7.4 vaping..... and - thanks to an adjustable voltage passthru option on my sabertouch - 11.2v with an HR 510 atty (that equates to 25 watts output!)
that was actually quite exciting in a light-touchpaper-stand-well-back kind of way! atty didn't blow though... I loaded it with some oksmokey 38mg cuban cigar...... boom! (as a certain grimmgreen would have it)

but....

I'm still trawling my way through sample sizes from e liquid vendors. here are my personal thoughts so far:

Freedomvape - no.... some (but not many) vapable flavours that I've tried; a couple truly, truly revolting in my opinion (cream and melted butter spring to mind as two of the most disgusting, foul tastes I've ever experienced! ....) I DID like Tiramisu though and Perique, dark vapour were certainly OK.

Paradise Vape - Yes..... most pretty nice actually (especially liked benson fences, peanut butter and chacolate - sic - as James labeled the bottle!), didn't get on with rum Icecream, vanilla custard... nowhere near as vile as
some from FV (no malice intended here by the way, only my opinion.....). second order on the way.

FSUSA - my sample pack at 24mg not strong enough for me, but i could sense a higher quality level here so I've got an order of high strength Wyatt Earp, hypnotic mist and a few others - I have quite high expectations of these.

Liberro - not bad, but not as good as Oksmokey for me.....(at least these weren't FISHY! (see below....)

LF xo - waiting to try these - I ordered a load of high strength samples; again quite high expectations......

LF decadent vapours - sitting waiting to try........

On the way from across the pond I have some of the ECF legendary/popular flavours (or flavors) - Alien Visions, backwoods brew, Vaperite organics and naturally extracted.... we'll see.... yet again high expectations on these!

only just arrived; a sample order from misteliquid... so far I've tried silver and gold (fish!), tobacco (fish!), .....please let the billingsgate/fishy/horrible.smell and taste NOT be there for all these (or they'll be going in the bin)

is this a Dekang/Hangsen thing I wonder?......... anyway, hate it.... yeuch... perhaps Freedom vape uses a similar formula I don't know.... but I'm discovering that....

I DON'T LIKE THE GENERIC CHINESE STUFF (which is good to know I guess)

I imagine that Paradise Vape, although he may or may not use a chinese base, does his own formulations, because these are much much better in my opinion.

similarly OKsmokey - YES, like these a lot so far... strong (38mg yes!), punchy, good, good stuff; don't know where these come from or what's used but it's mixed with care in my opinion.

second order on the way.

Haven't got round to Enjuice yet, but hear they're pretty good.

Need to have a go at vermillion river too.

I'm about to order some of grizwald's stuff from Vape escape, 'cos these seem to be going down well with folks.........

might even try some of his puddingy/sweet mixes even though my experiences of these sort of flavours have been less than good so far.

I've found that I'm drawn to strong tobacco flavours, and coffee type things, and chocolate/nutty too.... less so the creamy/dessert/custard sort of stuff......

I'll try anything though (I'm a brave soul you see)

now, I'm boring myself, let alone anyone else who happens to have got this far (sorry) so I'll go away now. I'll probably copy this post onto the other UKish forum too to bore them as well......

Hi Paul and welcome to the AllAbout forum. Certainly sounds like you've done your research - and then leapt in with both feet and several credit cards. I hope they were all yours!!

Seriously, I'm never sure whether to be jealous of people just starting out on their vaping careers right now or not. There's just such a bewildering array of STUFF available now, and I thought it was confusing enough when I started back in 2008....

ALL MEMBER ALERT: Keep an eye on the classifieds - there could be some VERY interesting swapsies appearing there in the very near future!!

In case you haven't realised, Paul - you aren't stuck with the liquids that don't appeal to you (yet) as you can offer them for exchange with other members because the old saw about "One man's meat is another man's poison" is most definitely true when it comes to e-liquid flavours.

You do also want to allow yourself a little time to get used to the change, many people find their tastes change over the months once they have moved over to vaping. The 'tobacco tongue' doesn't disappear overnight but the way you appreciate flavours changes in a quite subtle but definite fashion. Something else to look forward to, along with regaining the ability to breathe properly!!

As Tetsy says, you really have done a lot of research

I know that some of the Dekang juices I tried in the past I wasn't too keen on. Others where OK, though these days I mainly stick to buying Paradise Vapes juices -especially liking James' Drum at the moment.

I know from ECF that you wanted to know which UK suppliers sold Dekang & which sold Hangsen. Hope someone here can answer that for you

yes, wanted to know who sold the DK and hangsen liquids so I can avoid them (fish, fish, FISH!....... sorry)

apart from coffee, which is a fairly bland but ok flavour to me - using it to get rid of, yes, FISH.... hate it!

Don't touch Paradise Vape's Pizza juice. It scored as highly vomit worthy on RoachieUk's reviews.

I'm going to be ordering some of these from you; I'd like to try some sample sizes, but I want higher strength than is offered in the samples.... any chance to get them 30 or 36mg?
