I'd just like to add my thanks for all the help, advice and great service I've received in the past from Jason. VE is/was built on fantastic customer service and it delivered, day in and day out. Jason willingly gave his time and insight to help me out on more than one occasion and I wish him all the best for the future. The next time I see you, the pints (yes plural!) are on me Cheers Jason! Ripshod - thanks for that We are all passionate about vaping! I got too passionate and it ended my bloody marriage - learn from my mistakes everyone AAEC is a great forum and I've known Chrissie online for years. However AAEC is one forum. People like ViP need to get their voice heard in ALL forums and FB groups and with bloggers and they need to deal with other vaping advocates such as the NNA, VTTV, Save Ecigs, EFVI, VIRI, ECITA as well as PH groups, Politicians etc etc etc. Honestly, there are not enough hours in the day for 'welcome newbie, I'll sort your problems out' type posts. I'm not above owt gregb! I'm a ginger p@sshead from Barnsley.
As I mentioned earlier, my job is now ecig related. When I was active on the forums I was a teacher who had a vaping hobby. Hobbies are fun, jobs are not.

Posting and READING are two entirely different things.
When I started vaping, I posted massively on the forums. As time has gone on, I observe and only occasionally post. This is the same for many people.

I run 2 ecig shops as my day job Ripshod. I listen to our customers every single day. I organise a monthly vape meet in my home town and see what the current trends and issues are. I look though the forums everyday and read what interests me - just as you do.
'Vapers in Power' is a registered Political party run by a handful of volunteer vapers. If others, like yourself think it needs to be more grassroots, those people need to get involved and make it that way.

For the first time, since the registration of the party in July 2014, Vapers in Power is offering memberships for the party. Membership is open to anyone, aged 18 and above, who agrees with the Manifesto. The party doesn't limit membership by nationality, political leanings, tobacco-use status or vaping status. Nor does it restrict membership for members of other political parties; this is quite unusual, so if you are already a member of another political party, please check with them. If you would like to join the party it can be done through the website - the membership fee is £5. Funds raised from the membership fees will be used by the party to publicise the positive aspects of vaping and challenge the anti-vaping lobby in every way possible, including, but not limited to, presenting candidates for election at the Welsh Elections in 2016. The party was established to utilise the freedom of expression granted to political parties and challenge the clause in the TPD that is intended to prevent vaping being discussed in a positive light. The party gives a 'voice to vapers', you can help make that voice louder. Jessica posted the above which triggered a tirade from Ripshod. ViP membership is voluntary, so is getting involved with any part of it, so I do not understand the outrage. BTW, I've been vaping for over 6 years and I'm happing with my iStick 20 with a TW airflow tank with TW 18mg Pineapple in it Russell

Having a quick 'Google', it seems that it is from this - but I'll ask her if it was her contact at the Barnsley Hospital Charity that quoted it, or whether she, herself chose to use it.

This is a website that we set up almost 3 years ago. The 'signs' and information are free for anyone to use. If you need the originals, please email/pm me. Campaign for Vaping in PubsIt has been under-used Russell

most pubs seem to dislike me vaping in them, not that they mind the vaping so much, its all the other patrons that complain about me smoking and why can't they It is all about increasing awareness and educating people mira666. Two years ago, it was the same in my local area. Now, nobody bats an eyelid when people use their ecigs in the local pubs because so many people are using them - even those who complained that they could not smoke their real cigarettes inside seem to have switched to an ecig for a night out IN the pub! The change in awareness has been a slow burner - 'vape meets' certainly helped initially but the availability of good ecigs on the local markets, has significantly increased the uptake in the last 6 months or so.

Ay Up everyone,
Over the last few weeks, we have seen a lot of political activity on the forums. The Eeeewwww (EU) directive seems to have sparked a bit off 'get of your @rse and do summat' in us.
However, you do not need to get off 'thi bum' to write a letter to an MP/MEP or to sign a petition - but you DO to really get the point across to the general public.
As we all know, most smokers like to smoke! I was a smoker for 23 years and I loved it - in fact I still consider myself a smoker after well over 3 and a half years of using ecigs. BUT, they (we) are made to feel like second class citizens in the 21st century world Sad
It is about time that this changed - and we (ecig users) have a golden opportunity to DO something to make that change.
How can we do it? The simple answer is to 'get out there' and USE ecigs in public places - 're-normalise' smoking to the smokers! Leave the vaping paraphernalia at home and just use something that looks 'acceptable' to a smoker. Maybe an eGo battery with summat on the top of it?!
Get together with a group of mates - in a pub (preferably) - and ENJOY Big Grin

I did pop down stokey.
The cash and carry is mainly aimed at small retailers who want to stock disposables and cig-a-like rechargeable kits to give smokers a 'tempting' option. There are also some eGo-T and CE4 kits for the more advanced as well as a few other bits and bobs. The recommended retail prices are much lower than what is already on the High Street and the mark up for anyone interested in selling their products is good.
As vapers, it is probably not for us - however, this type of place may significantly increase the availability of ecigs in newsagents, off-licenses and convenience stores and hopefully have a knock on effect to smokers switching to ecigs, which cannot be a bad thing imho.

An ecig Cash and Carry is opening in Heanor, Derbyshire this Thursday (6th Dec) at 12pm.
The company is called Mister Smoke and the venue is at;
REGENT HOUSE, 10 RED LION SQUARE, HEANOR, DERBYSHIRE, UNITED KINGDOM, DE75 7PA
I'm popping along for a nosey, I hope some others in the area will do too.
