7" tablet's

Im looking for 3 tablets for my kids Xmas pressie's but don't want to remortgage the house to buy them. Nit sure if a second hand branded one would be better than a new budget one? If anyone has any input or experience to share it would be appreciated

A lot depends on your budget and the age of your children but I can highly recommend these. www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=TB-011-OT&groupid=959&catid=1882 they have a similar spec to the kindle fire tablet (better in some areas) but at a much more affordable price

I have a nexus 7 Tablet (in fact I have two, but broke the screen on one) and it's fabulous, rarely misses a beat and syncs lovely with 2 laptops a PC and my Nexus 4 phone, I'd highly recommend one if your budget allows

Your teasing me - the link says discontinued! I'd snap their hand off for 99 quid especially as I love samsung products. My s3 is awesome!

Their 9 and seven and quite likely to give them some abuse so must be solidly built. Looking under 100 really

Yeah I would probably still say the ones I linked in that case. You can however get a lower spec one for £49, carphone warehouse currently have a sale on their tablet. I wouldn't use it myself but for a child it should be fine for playing games on www.carphonewarehouse.com/special-offers/categories/half-price-tablet?stop_mobi=yes The spec for it isn't bad and for that price it's a bargain.

Yeah I found them but they must have only had one left. Tried to select 3 but it wouldn't. I suspect they were just getting rid of the last of their stock of that old model. Shame as that was cheap

It looks great with it's quad core and high mp camera's bit that'll be £360 for all three of mine!!!! And I've still got a toddler to buy for too! Im now leaning towards a cheaper option but there are so many to choose from. Very stressful but at least my mixing equipment and flavours arrived today. My garrage will be custard HQ by 5.30 :-D

My wife and I got I unbranded tablets for Xmas last year from Amazon (it was a similar model to this). Mine was fine, it's still going strong and my sister now has it and loves it. However, my wife had lots of problems with hers and had to send it back several times.

If you're prepared to compromise on screen resolution you can find a fair few bargains out there, but you do take the luck of the draw (in my limited experience) as you're dealing with cheaper parts. As it's for the kids, I know there is no point suggesting buying something expensive and asking them to share, so it's probably worth taking a punt on something similar!

Although storage space is limited on the model I linked above, on mine you could add an SD card, so I had an extra 32gb space which was fine for the apps and games I wanted to play.

Got me and swmbo nexus 7's in duty free, staked my reputation with her as she wanted a paper white , I said we should get these. They're absolutely brilliant. Love mine.

It was actually this one that we got last year in a 7" variety, but it was much cheaper when I bought it. The one I've linked to above is very similar, but has less memory and less storage. It would probably be ok for the kids, but it may struggle if too many apps are running at once due to only having 512mb memory.
