Right I've finally pulled the trigger and ordered some PG nic base 72mg, some plain pg for adding menthol or sweetners too, I've got a few empty bottles in 10ml and 30ml I've got syringes 1ml and 10ml, going to pick up some VG and some protective gloves up from boots tomorrow. I'm not sure what else I need for basics I'm sure someone will tell me.
Now what brands of flavouring do people recommend ? I'm looking for value and quality if that combination exists. Not necessarily looking for existing flavour concentrates ie blackjack. i'm more looking for stand alone flavours individual fruits or sweets for me to combine myself. I may aswell throw myself straight in the deep end.
wish me luck, I'll need it.
Jay

I really like Capella Harvest Berry, and their Lemon & lime is also nice. Check out the recipe thread and then just order some flavourings. Oh and good luck

Just keep away from anything sharp and do your own taste testing. It really ruins your day when you mix something up and then give it to someone to try and they say, "God, that tastes like shit." That was how my beloved wife reacted to my first mix ..... Jag. (I thought it was good ....)

CCWs orange at 10% would be a good confidence booster as its failsafe
Strawberry(decadent vapours) at 10 to 15% is pretty good(although i think CCWs Strawberry has the edge)
Then both those flavours work with a little menthol crystal concentrate

You can't go far wrong with Tjuice concentrates when you're starting out JayJ . . . they make mixing so simple and you're pretty much guaranteed to get a great result using them. t-juice.com/pure-flavours.html

Thanks for the replies rich64 CCW's you'll need to enlighten me ? Failsafe you say, sounds like another word for idiot proof, sounds perfect to me. @jcol64 where would I find capella concentrates ? Perpetua i've got a couple of Tjuices heading my way ready mixed, afro diziac and something I forget lol. I might look into them in concentrate if they hit the spot. If any of the above is obvious my apologies its 7.23am I've been up 2 hours already and not enough cups of tea yet to lubricate the head cogs. Jay

Hope you like the Tjuice mixes JayJ . . . they're very popular right now and having the concentrates available is brilliant news for mixers. Several places to buy Capella from, Carrie is my first port of call as she also has several other flavour house ranges: www.28vapeslater.com/capella-53-c.aspThen there's: The Alchemist's Cupboard Liberty Flights Vape Escape Leisure Liquids CCW = Cup Cake World.

Perpetua thank you for cupcake world. If there flavourings are all good for our mixing purposes I can see myself getting a few to try from them. I'm wondering though if they are as concentrated as flavours designed for our purposes. If so they seem very good value. rich64 do you use alot of CCW's flavours with much success ? Jay

just a heads up some cup cake flours are very strong so start low when mixing with them
eg strawberry i mix at 20% but there pineapple i only use 3% cus it blow's your head off
mix small amounts first or your going to waste your base mate

Sorry Jayj i should have written cupcake world instead of ccw (I wondered what ccw was when i first saw it here).
I use some of them with varying degrees of success but its worth reading the concentrate reviews here and around the web jajy as it seems that each brand has some really good ones and some not so good, so alot of mix n matching brands, but heres most of the CCWs flavours im using
Apple Intense Flavour Range : Hard one to get right, too little it tastes of very mild apple too much it gets a bit chemically and non descript Butterscotch Intense Flavour Range: Smells great but as an eliquid i find it a bit weak (but i bought it to combine with other flavours so its all good) Candy Floss Intense Flavour Range: I really like this one as it does have a candy hit to it but subtle enough not to be sickly Cappuccino Intense Flavour Range: Dont know yet as its still not been used but judging by the smell id guess there are better out there Orange Intense Flavour Range: Very realistic orange Raspberry Intense Flavour Range: I dont really get this one as a raspberry but ive seeb reviews stating its realistic Spearmint Intense Flavour Range: Really not great (decadent vapours is the best spearmint ive tried yet) Strawberry Intense Flavour Range: very realistic strawberry Blueberrry: I dont really get it either Ginger: very realistic ginger and not overly strong (works well with the orange and might be what the apple needs for a bit of a kick)
Hope this helps

charon hmm the lab coat sounds a good idea, I can bic my head grow a goatee and act like I'm Walter White, aka Heisenberg, I'm addicted to Breaking Bad if you didn't get the gist. 4 seasons in the last fortnight, I think Walter gave me the push to start mixing my own lol. Postie stalking this week now.
