Thanks. I guess they had to open the shrink wrap to hack the manual. For what reason I haven't a clue!!

They have cut the serial number out of the manual. Where they have cut the front page of the manual there would of been a sratch card type panel with the serial no behind it.

Thanks.  Would that be to prevent any sort of issue if a customer wants to deal with Innokin directly?

Innokin refuse to deal direct with retail customers anyway. I think they want to stop people effectively telling Innokin where FastTech have sourced them through (because Innokin won't sell to FT)

Thanks for mentioning it Griff. Looks like some have been messed with and not others. At least the VTR itself seems perfect which is the main thing

I'll have a look what's behind the sratch card panel when I get home. There web address is next to the panel. I'll go onto the website and see what it says and I'll let ya no. I think the serial no is there so you can check to see if the device is genuine.

stig1978 and lemental makes sense that the cut out bit contained a "scratch and check" serial number as can be seen on Innokin`s web site. Scroll down to show where you would put the serial number.

stig1978 we wait to hear what is on the inside of the front cover. Lets hope it was where the "scratch and check" serial number was if not I can only assume that our little Chinese friends have started eating paper as a bowl of rice a day isn`t satisfying them

Another thing that springs to mind is that it was around the 30 October that the VTR on FT went from shipping in 3 business days, to 15 business days. Then some orders went to restocking, which makes me think that FT tried to restock from Innokin, but were told to go away. So FT restocked from elsewhere and it is those VTR`s that have had the front of the instruction manual cut away so you can`t check the serial number, (if indeed that is where the serial number was located), on Innokin`s site, which I am assuming would confirm it was genuine and also the name of the vendor, which wouldn`t be FT......cut the serial number off the instruction booklet and no audit trail

Then again I could be wrong.

My manual was cut in the same way, the box had obviously been opened to do that I think. Very impressed with it so far. No doubt in my mind that it is the real mccoy. The supplied iclear30S is just about the best atty I have had for vapor and flavour and again it`s genuine (I vape at 10 watts). The amount of vapor would remind you of a lot of review vids you see, really good. The VTR seems to be full of power and definitely more power than the MVP. It is heavy for sure. A Vamo is coming in at about 130 grammes, this beast is coming out just under 300 grammes lol (no battery or atty fitted to either). I haven`t bothered with any sub ohming yet, been really pleased with the supplied iclear30S (top filler). It looks very impressive with the atty adapter and FTs Rocket (Kaifun clone), again with masses of vapor. It`s not really any improvement on the iclear30S though.
