Hello I have posted on a few other e-gig forums and thought I would pop in here and say hello. I have been off the cigarettes for 15 days now and have not touched, craved or thought about about one since (happy days). Not bad after 20 odd years smoking 15-20 per day. I have a Riva 1100 which was recommended by Chrissie and a few others which I am very happy with. Have went a bit mad and purchased loads of juices from various sites (spent a fortune), but think my favourites so far are Menthol (Joose Juice) and Egg custard tart (Alchemist) both 70/30 PG/VG 12ml nicotine. As I am new to all this vaping will have to get used to letting juices steep and not plunge straight in........... I have tried both cartomisers and clearomisers and prefer clearomisers - probably because I can see what I have left!!! I am currently using Vision ego V2 but read that iClear 16 are better -any thoughts on that? Anyway would also like to treat myself to a glass clearomiser but not sure which would fit or be best for my Riva 1100 - any suggestions please? Probably have loads more questions, but in the meantime, hello and thanks for enlightening me to the fact that stopping smoking does not have to be miserable.

Hello & welcome bracken - it's good to see you here As your Riva battery has an ego/510 thread, any clearomiser or tank with the same thread (just about all of them) will fit

Hi Bracken I am a big iClear16 fan myself. I have a couple of mini Davide as well (glass). They produce a ton of vapour, but I get a lot less taste from them than the iClears. Most people find they get more flavour from the bottom coil clearos ... I'm just weird I can recommend both.

Hi Bracken. I'm fairly sure I didn't reply to your opening post of ECF - I think the Angel Chrissie appeared and soon sorted you out. As for glass clearos, I've just ordered another (how many? ) mini Protank this morning. Luckily, I was able to avoid the MVP temptation, but resistance is futile.... This is my clearo career; 1) Vision CE4 - burned them out in days, never went back. (had TWO) 2) Vision V3 - kept on these for a month, no complaints, just bought too many heads. (had THREE) 3) Mini Vivi Nova - these were "keepers" from day one. I just cleaned one up this morning as it happens. (had FOUR) 2 given way 4) Kanger Evod - Pretty fine. Ran out of heads, never went back, because5) Kanger mini Protank - I LOVE them. More or less the same vape as evod, only you can see how much juice is left, the taste is marginally cleaner (glass??) and less gurgling, no leaking. - - - Along the way, I bought * one Full-sized Protank.... kind of undecided on this. Sometimes use. Quite gurgly.... * one iClear16.... still use from time to time, the heads last a very long time indeed. HOT and mad, like the Mrs. * one Totally Wicked dual coil RCS... ran out of heads, never went back. Impressive vape though if you keep it upright. * one T3S - good, ran out of heads. * one mini Davide - good, ran out of drip tips...lost on the 14th tee. - - - The biggest failure was Kanger T3. I had 5 or 6 + endless bases etc. 100% leak rate. Quite terrible. and, oh yes, Smok ARO - pyrex. Good on paper, vapes like a turd and oozes juice from more places than a squashed satsuma. Pathetic. Probably 25-30 clearos all in all.

Hello and bracken, You've seen the others now you have found the best About your clearos, do be advised that the Iclear 16s are dual coil and by reports are a great vape/flavour machine. However they will suck your juice up like a sponge, so really a choice between performance or economy. I intend to remain neutral in this debate.

Hi bracken and to AAEC ... good to have you on board. I am a big iclear fan, both the 16 and the larger 30, and would have no hesitation in recommending them

Thanks all for super welcome!!!!!!!! Been looking at all the various options and think I will go with the mini pro-tank as my 1st glass option. Noticed this myepack.co.uk/review/product/list/id/714/category/11/ and it seems a good price at £19.99, considering it comes with a battery and 5 spare coils as well - do you agree? Quick question if you want to change juices with the protank can you just swap over or does it have to be rinsed out first -does it matter? -also how long would I expect a coil to last. Thanks again

Thanks again That is a good price. Myepack are one of the cheapest uk vendors. I would be tempted to make sure you have 2 batteries so you have one to use while one is charging. Juice changing is down to you. You can re fill with different juice and vape through the change or wash out and re fill once dry. The heads. If you look after them they should last a while. All we do is not have a coil in tgere longer than a week. Have them on rotation. When you take it out to put a new one in put it in some water with a steredent tablet or bicarbonate of soda for 24 hours. Rinse well and leave to dry for 24 hours. If you keep rotating the 5 they should last quite a while. Sent from my Galaxy Note 2

Hi there
Congrats on giving up - that's fantastic! I've been vaping for a few weeks and just need to get rid of the last few cigs and I'll be away!

Welcome and well done to you Bracken. I wouldn't worry about those last couple of cigs you're having effington . . . just think of all the ones you've not smoked.

Hi All - 24 days in and no "stinkies".
In fact vaping is working too well if that is possible. By that I mean am I vaping too much? is it possible to over vape.
Today for instance was a particularly stressful day at work and I smoked -sorry vaped approx 5-6ml of juice 12mg nic!!!!!!! Is that a lot? -how much would you good people get through per day and does any-one know what say 5ml of juice equates to number of cigarettes?
