Greetings; cheaper than fags??!!

Greetings. Been lurking for a while Seven weeks ago I received a cig-a-like thing from a daily deals site Since then I appear to have accumulated quite a bit! -  2 ego batteries (1 broken from being sat upon) 2 riva batteries an ee2, a vamo from myepack, a  UDT-L 510 Mod from vaping vision, an mvp2 from fasttech (bought the previous 2  due to being bored with waiting for the slowboat), about 3 dozen ce4s mostly off ebay a dozen evods mainly from fastech, an iclear30, a mini nova, a pair of torchy 18650s. Oh and about 2 litres of eliquid in about 175 bottles - about 150 different flavours everything from maple and walnut to Kentucky Blue Grass to black truffle Still on the hunt for a bloody mary and haven't seen many gin based eliquids.

The original idea of vaping was to cut down the amount of fags I smoked and save  a few pennies!!! I smoked about half an ounce of rolling bacci and 3-5 tailors a day. I never  had a giving up day I just thought I'd see how long I could last without a fag. With the cig-a-like thing it was about 90 minutes (thats how long the battery lasted) then with the egos it was about half a day - took a while to get get into the routine of having one charging whilst using the other one rather than using both at once and them running out at at the same time!!

Never said I was never going to have another fag/stinkie/analogue/roll up .... I can have one whenever I want its just that so fat in nearly 4 weeks of vaping I haven't wanted one!

Havnt got into mixing side of things yet but if I do it will probably be with the intention of creating more unusual  and unique vapes. And recoiling is a foreign country to me - if something slots in or screws in I can just about manage it but anything that involves tools and wire and tweezers and wicks is an alien concept to me!

Hi you seem to have accumulated a sizable collection there. I've been vaping about the same time maybe a little longer but I've stuck to protank mini's and loads of batteries still experimenting with juices too. Well done on staying off the stinkies I have managed to as well as I prefer vaping now love the different flavours. Welcome to the most friendly forum

My vaping story is very similar to yours, and I love the shopping bit of it almost as much as the vaping! There's nothing like a shiny device arriving in the post to clear away those workaday blues

@condimentking - hi and welcome to the forum. That's quite a collection you have there already!!
Mixing juice is no where near as tricky as it seems when you read about it. Pick a simple recipe and get the ingredients together, then if you need help just post in the 'Mixology' section and someone there will guide you through the process. It's great fun, and there's nothing as satisfying as vaping your own recipe juice. Well, that is unless you are vaping it on one of your own recoiled heads, that is!
I'm not practically minded, and yet with practice I have nearly mastered the recoiling thing, and can do a Protank head 4 times out of 5. It's cheap as chips (I've just ordered 3m of 2mm Ekowool and 10m of .2 Kanthal wire, the recoilers staples, for about £9 delivered), and once you know the procedure, it takes a couple of minutes maximum.
Give it a try, you'll be surprised just how easy it is. Once again, there are plenty of experts here to help you if you get stuck - I know, I've had to call on them on more than one occasion!!

 With 2 MVPs you should never run out of power!! I use an iclear30 too with an MVP, your not stopping smoking, your taking up Vaping!!!

Sounds like you got the bug to me. I have it, but I expect my costs to be far less as time goes on. I found rolling cheap compared to Vaping, but there will be a time when things even out for me.

If I ever find a way to stop Vaping as a hobby, I shall be offering self-help classes.
