Hi all, this is my first day browsing the forum. My vaping experience has so far been confined to cigalikes such as greensmoke, skycigs and an emergency supply of ok ecigs from Asda! I've just watched the video on refilling disposable cartomisers and wondered how many times you can do this or how you can tell its time to stop and throw it away. I have numerous 'empties' lying around and might as well make use of them.

Can't speak for your brands, but E-Lites could only be refilled once or twice maximum*. You'll know when you've over done it. *Just goes to show how poor the quality is on these things. Use them up! You must.

As djs says, you will know when they can no longer be refilled. You will no longer get good draw from them or they may have a burnt taste.

You'll know when to throw a carto when it starts giving poor airflow and/or tastes nasty. The time depends on the juice you are using. If you can recharge the battery and you like the form factor of a cig-a-like, maybe try getting some boge 510 cartomisers to see if they screw on - if they do, you'll most likely get better performance and longevity than from the pre-filled ones.

A good suggestion from a1laserboy Boge 510 cartomisers should fit your Sky cig, but not your Greensmoke.

Thankyou for your help, I think I'll use up my empties and take the opportunity to try out some juices then either get some proper refillable cartomisers or move on to something more advanced. Either way I've a lot more options now than I knew about this time yesterday! Thanks guys for your friendliness and prompt informative answers, what a nice forum this is!

Today I was happily surprised by the customer services at greensmoke, last Friday I contacted them to complain a batch of their menthol cartomisers were bitter and tasteless, they offered to replace them and asked me to return the faulty ones. I assumed they wouldn't dispatch the new ones until I had, I was wrong, a parcel of 5 packs arrived this morning and I haven't sent the faulty ones back yet, I will do so, they are of no use to me and greensmoke need to sort out the issue if they haven't already. However it does mean my transition to refillables can take place with minimal cost, as I've previously said I intend to refill my greensmoke cartomisers until they stop working, with the savings from that I will build up a collection of taster juices and decide my favourites. Then I'll buy myself a nice Xmas pressie of a more advanced starter kit. The main reason I switched to vaping was the cost of smoking, as a single nhs nurse helping support 2 young adults through college/uni something in the budget had to give and my smoking was the prime choice. I know as a healthcare professional I should wax lyrical about the health benefits but hey...no ones perfect. I don't think I'll ever be able to afford the lovely shiny things I've seen on here (that rainbow coloured battery is so pretty lol), but thanks to the advice and info on this forum I've now got a wealth of options to keep the costs to a minimum and still enjoy vaping. I have several colleagues at work in similar situations to mine, I intend to encourage/nag them to explore this forum. I've said this before but you guys deserve a lot of credit for the support you offer, the nhs could learn a lot from you!

Hiya and welcome yes tmg joosejuice samples should suit, as they are freshly made and need to be left to mature into flavour a few weeks so a few of them in stock to try out will do you fine, I find them the cheapest juices (that are quality) on the market It's also great in a way that you cant dive right into buying new gear, this way you can learn loads reading on forum before making a decision that's more likely to be the best for you - and I'm trying not to fall in love with the rainbow spinner!!!

Oh bless you tez, that is sweet of you, I might take you up on that once I start to run low on my current supply of greensmoke cartomisers if that's ok. With the ones I received this morning plus a few I had in reserve and Working on the assumption I can refill them at least once I'm ok for a while, till at least January. One question though, do all juices need steeping? Or are there some you can use straight away?
