Red Astaire steeping time?

Well, I took the plunge and bought everything I needed to start mixing.

Thought I'd start with Red Astaire as I love the stuff, mixed up 30ml at 15% flavour 80/20 PG/VG, gave it a few whizzes with a coffee frother, let it settle and put a couple of ml in the Fogger...

Tastes of nothing... a slight hint of menthol, but that's about it...

So, do  I need to steep this stuff? If so, how long for? If not, what could I be doing wrong to have no flavour? The pre-mixed stuff I had from T-Juice is amazing in the same set-up so it's got to be my mix.

Sounds like you have the mix ok john. Googling around 15%-20% seems the going rate.

Great news, thanks. Will try it again in a few days, I'm having withdrawal symptoms now though! Should have ordered a 10ml pre-mix to tide me over!

Don't talk to me about sod's law! I got to my seat 1 minute late for kick off at the footy today... Our keeper scored in 14 seconds! Once in a lifetime... I'm usually in my seat for at least 30 mins before kickoff... Sod's law...

I'd up your percentage to 20% if it were me @john2k5, leave it a couple of days and you should find it more to your tastes.

You could also stand your bottle a few times in a cup of warm water until it cools to help speed the infusing along . . . .

I'm really surprised by this, I vape mine within hours of mixing it, and the flavour is really strong. Maybe some air is left in the mix from the frother? I just give the bottle a few shakes to make sure it is fully mixed.

I seem to like my flavours weak, but I am mixing mine at around 8% simply because I still get masses of flavour and so my concentrate goes farther

Any chance that something has gone weird with the atty you are putting it in?

Tried it in a Protank 2 and an Evod this morning and still virtually nothing. Perpetua Looks like I'll be upping to 20 and waiting a few days as suggested, thanks.

Can't wait to get this right.

Ay up John my fellow stokie, i mix it at 15 drops into 10ml of 50/50 14mg of ltecigs vpg and it is great, i use vpg base as it takes all the hassall out of mixing the vg,pg and nic base

I've seen nothing but good reviews about it so guess I'll just have to wait it out until it tastes good. I do like my flavours strong, so 15 drops would probably be too weak for me. Will look into vpg, although I haven't found mixing the separate parts much of an issue, unless that's what could be affecting my flavour?

It's tasting better in the Fogger now, weak but the flavour is there - patience is a virtue

Not sure why you have no flavour.. I mix mine at 13% left a couple of days to steep and its gorgeous. I'm no expert unfortunately but could it be the whisking? Or do you do that with all your mixes.?
