Ok here we go. So, as I said I have a few gripes about my present gear and it hasn’t been all plain sailing, I expected a learning curve and have overcome some of the problems. I’ll outline them and what I’ve done to give an idea of where I’m at so any advice can be well directed. One problem is gummed up coils. Badly caramelised juice forming a carbonised layer on the coil, sometimes in less than a days vaping, this reduces the quality of the vape and it’s a pain having to replace the heads so often. I clean and dry burn the coil but avoiding the juice that’s the culprit is the only sure fire solution, that means depriving myself of juice I might like. Leaking hasn’t been a big problem but if the vape seems to be deteriorating and if the above has not cause it, it’ll be leaking onto the battery contact. I recoil my heads and tried different wicks and to be honest this isn’t a daily occurrence but once again when it happens it’s a pain to have to mop it up. I seem to have batteries on charge all the time. The evod are 650mah and the spinner 1300mah but I still need on average 2 charges a day. With the safety warnings of not leaving them unattended I’d rather it was much less frequent. Also there is a noticeable tailing off in performance before the batteries are flat I know the pleasure you get from a vape, like many other things, varies from day to day but I’d like a bit more consistency, especially bearing in mind the other points I’ve made. I’m quite happy and confident I can tackle any recoiling, in fact that’s a part of the experience enjoy, but once I’ve satisfied the urge to fiddle I’d just like to kick back and have a maintenance free vape. Bottom line is that I want more than I’m getting now, more flavour, more reliability, and more satisfaction. I guess I’d like something that addresses the points mentioned and of course there is the magnetism of the shiny. I find with my other hobbies that a quality product, although essentially doing the same job a cheaper alternative, is much more pleasurable and satisfying to use and that feeling lasts for a longer period of time. I realise there is a law of diminishing returns and my next step might turn out to be a leap. (Have I completed my apprenticeship or should I be taking an intermediate step?) I will have to budget for the cost of a mod, rebuildable atomiser charger and battery in one go. Setting a budget is something I shy away from as within reason, I tend to justify spending whatever gets me the quality product that does what I want. I haven’t mentioned any gear I have my eye on so it will be interesting to hear all the different views on how you would like to spend my money *cheers*for now.

@scooby Asking a more direct question on the general vaping board will get you loads of replies. Outline your budget and if you have any preferences.
