The UK's first ever e-cigarette bar.

Sounds interesting:

vypesocial is a dedicated e-cigarette bar in Great Eastern Street, opening for two and half weeks in November. Patrons are able to smoke e-cigarettes in the fully licenced bar, and enjoy a series of events including speed dating, comedy, and hip hop karaoke.

I wonder if it would be permitted to open vape venues seeing as how vaping is not smoking and all studies seem to point to vaping having no harmful effects on bystanders. I know my friends do not mind vaping and would not mind going to a place like this.

Or, will the ANTZ squash such a thought before it even begins? ???

That is what I thought at first too, Balllsy but what is to stop other places doing the same? I think it is a good idea myself. I know some non-smoking friends who would rather go out in the cold with the smokers than sit on their own but with e-cigs and places like this they wouldn't have to.

OK, so a bar opens up promoting Vaping. Great! Whoo hoo, happy days.

Then, Vapers in the bar meet other vapers that use "real" e-cigs, enjoy a day of battery life and are refilling for 25p?

I sense a gaping hole in the vision?

I (people) are often picked on on other forums for pointing out the flaws in the mini-look-a-like e-cig products. Apparently, many people are not looking to quit smoking and are happy with using a social e-cig. Well, that is fine, but in not long from now (a year or two) the £4 per refill people are going to feel royally upset, if you ask me.

It's a pop-up, to be clear. It's not a 'vaping bar', as we might understand it, it's a block-booking for a series of events where BAT can promote their sub-standard product to hipsters.

I like the idea of Vaping Bars.

When I first started to vape I had only ever seen cig-a-likes. If more people are out in public with more advanced devices it can only be a good thing me thinks. Maybe even change public perception.
