Bought some cotton wool from boots and read every different kind of packet but couldn't find "unbleached" mentioned on any...
Are they all unbleached ?

I think the keyword you need to be looking out for is 'organic'. I got mine from Wilkinsons.

I used Johnsons Cotton pads and just gave them a really good boil and dry before use.
Been using them for well over a month now and no harsh taste or ill health effects........yet.

I read on another forum in the last day or 2 that someone had organic coton wool but in the small print it was still bleached ! so I will be reading my small print when it gets here. So much for organic !
