Saw the advert last night on TV for

What a load of shite, which I am sure will persuade those wishing to give up the fags and take up vaping..........not IMHO

Mr Pearce, who described the adverts as ‘sexual crap’, said: “This advert will do more damage than anything imaginable to e-cigarette companies.

“There is no mention of the health benefits that these products can offer.

“It gives off the wrong impression, it’s disgusting and I don’t think it should be aired.”

In terms of imaginable damage though, perhaps touting the health benefits in an advert may not be the best way forward given recent campaigns?

I'm not sure they are allowed to actually give any 'health benefits' in the adverts.

Made for adults after the watershed, fine, there's more 'sex' in music video's.

My reaction was similar though - can we not do better than cheap sexual innuendo?

I'd rather, while staying clear of comparative advertising, we appealed to how all the non-health aspects of how vaping is so much more pleasant than smoking.

Most smokers know precisely why they hate their habit and showing them how to fix that has to be more constructive than the empty promise of sex.

Haven't seen the ad but they had a huge promotion stall in the town centre today ! Tries to entice me over but I just shook my head and waved my spinner at them !! Just as well I was in a hurry or I would have been on my soap box !
