Has anyone come across a definite fix for the oh so tight draw on the BCC Mega? i bought one a few weeks ago and it was real good. But just lately it has become very tight indeed. I bought a BCC Mini soon after the Mega (as it was so good). The Mini is still chugging along nicely - but oh boy! That Mega is tight. I've seen suggestions about removing one of the loose wicks - or drilling out the air holes from 1/16 to 3/32 of an inch. Well really, if I had a drill bit that small, I doubt I could ever find it! Anybody come across a simpler cure?

Are you still using the same coil head in it dontknow? If you are, then that's also a possibility why the draw has changed as the coil is now past it's best.

Thanks Perpetua, I took the first one out after about a week to "rebuild"! It never made it back into the device - my rebuild was binned. I've replaced the coil head twice since then - it's still getting tighter...

Yes it is weird! The Mini is still going like a Boeing. Maybe I'll have a dig around in the air holes... Can't drill them - they're too small to see what I'd be doing. Maybe they just got gunked up a bit... Onward and upwards....

After Perpetua suggestion, I installed a new coil head. Now new problem - this is a puzzle. The coil fires perfectly without the tank fitted. Then after fitting the tank - now it will not fire! This is not a one-off. I tried without the tank fitted several times - then fit the tank - nothing! Any thoughts? It's driving me

Is the head unscrewing as you attach the tank dontknow . . . just a random thought as I've not tried this particular clearo.

Won't be that Perpetua. It's just a push fit. None of it makes sense... It fires perfectly without the tank... I think I'll just have to throw the lot into a bath and clean everything and dry it all. Then try again... Don't really know if or how that might help - but it can't hurt... But - thanks for your thoughts on it...

Ah right . . . I was thinking it might be like the Vivi Nova dontknow, but it's obviously not. Have you got many, as I think I'd be ditching them by now if it was me, they sound like faff squared.

Hmmm... Getting closer to that dump 'em situation. The cleaning didn't help. So ripped it apart and recoiled and used a bit of cotton wick. It's firing now. Must've been a bad coil head... Though still a puzzle why it fired before without the tank on? I have 9 spare heads to go! I'm also playing around with a fogger. The original wick was rubbish! Micro coil with cotton and it's producing vapour like a steam train - amazing. But I flood it every time I juice it up! What fun

I have a few of these so I have idled away an hour or so to see if I can replicate these problems ... and I cannot .......... However .... on some devices the bottom air hole on the 510 fitting can be obscured, thus causing very little airflow. I think that might be the problem here, though it is difficult to be sure without seeing the equipment being used. Jag. (Back to my DCT's ........ ) Edit : Try backing the BCC off by a quarter to a half turn, if you then get a good draw it means the air hole is indeed being obscured.

Hi @jaguar, I'm guessing it's the airholes... Even off the battery it's just too tight. I tossed my built coil as it soon started flooding. So down to my last 8 replacement coil heads If push comes to shove - I'll use them on the BCC mini - which is still doing good.

I purchased one of these the other day. It had a really tight draw and then it started turning my e juice dark. I purchased a 1/16" ryobi drill bit, the kind with the hex shaped drive shaft and drilled out one of the vent holes on the 510 connector by hand. This did the trick. Very good draw now. I put in the 1.8 ohm coil and this thing really vapes great with just an ego battery, Excellent flavor. Without good draw it was just cooking my juice I also noticed that it seems like it builds a bit of a vacuum inside the tank which restricts the flow of e juice. If you loosen the tank a bit you'll notice small bubbles coming up so it's letting the juice flow into the coil. This is probably true with any tank. I know this thread is pretty old but Hopefully it will help someone with a similar problem.
