Hi all. I'm thinking of soaking a couple of of my Evod coil heads. Thing is, after I've unscrewed them from the collar do I then have to disassemble them to expose the wick, or is it ok to soak them assembled ? Also. I seem to remember reading in a thread somewhere that someone mentioned something called a Coil Buddy which would be helpful for recoiling. Any info or links for that would be very much appreciated

I've taken to dumping them in a shot glass of Vodka. This does clean them up nicely. If they still look a bit grubby once you've given them a good soak (I do overnight) then you can remove the air post and the extra wicks and soak just the coil section.
I have a load ready to check out actually. Trying to see if i can get just a little longer from mine (more goes) doing this instead of water rinsing and/or sonic cleaning. Sonic cleaning never worked for me on Vivi Novas and CE5s. Maybe I needed sonic cleaning with Vodka.
(Tasty but expensive....)

Sheesh..how can you think of vodka as a cleaning agent.. . I use Miltons with the same if not better effect, just remember to rinse thoroughly

Plain Bicarbonate of Soda works as well . . . which is what Denture Cleaning tablets are mainly made of, that doesn't tend to leave any residue flavour either. Normally to be found in the Baking aisle of larger supermarkets.
