Hi all, i have been lurking in the shadows, reading, researching and enjoying all the advise that everyone gives Well about me, i have been vaping now for 4 months. After giving up an 18 year smokes habit the first time i had a ecig - albeit it has been a learning curve. I started out on a skycig deal (worked 4 me) but quickly realized that it didn't do all it said on the tin (refilll=expensive). So anyway i now have amased a collection 4 Mini Protank2 kits with 650 kanger batteries, and i think they are the dogs dangley bits!! I am happy with every aspect of them. I am considering moving on up to a vv/vw device or even onto mods and rebuilds, but that will be in the really near future. This vaping malarky has plenty to temp you out of your hard earned cash!! hahahahahaha Anyways that enough about me for now, that my intro, now hopefully someone will be able to give me some advise? Im off on holiday in a few weeks to St Lucia and the temp there is 30c with a fair bit of humidity. Do you think my Mini Protank 2's will hold out? And also will my juice? Should i change the PG/VG range for the temp? Any advise really welcome. Im currently vaping PG60/40VG vapology juices, Mrs Lord Custard Cream & Gingerbread & also a selection of Amazing Vaping Juices they are VG60/40PG? Thanks everyone

Hi lee, welcome to AAEC. I can't help with the travelling question i am afraid. I am sure i have heard not to put juices in the hold as the pressure makes them leak.

Hi lee and I suppose this is where I should come in to answer your 'heat' questions seeing as I live in a hot climate Ok, well, I've got the Kanger mini protank 2's and they've been holding up well in temperatures over 40 centigrade, as for juice, no problem, no need to change anything. The only thing I would suggest is that you DO NOT leave your e-cig lying around in direct heat/sun, wherever possible keep it in the shade, in a pocket, under a shaded part of a sunbed, you know, just normal commonsense is needed really. I mean you wouldn't leave your e-cig equipment right in front of a burning fire would you!!! Same goes for the sun. So, all in all, no need to change anything or do anything special, except enjoy your holiday in St Lucia vaping away Hmm, I presume St Lucia will allow e-cigs, haven't a clue myself what their policy is ???

Hello & welcome Lee I know that quite a lot of members have flown with their e-cigs & the main one I can think of at the moment is DiscoDes - hope ful he (or someone else) will be along soon to advise on what can go in your hand luggage & what can't

Hi lee Any batteries need to go in your hand luggage. You can take liquid in your hand luggage subject to the same rules as any other liquid although the 'poison' symbol could raise a few eyebrows. Personally I'd pack the liquid in my hold luggage along with my toiletries, some zip lock bags should prevent any mess if you do have a leak, mine were fine last year but it wasn't a long haul flight. I used pre filled cartos for travelling Don't forget back ups for your back ups and enjoy your holiday

Hi lee and . I flew to the south of France recently - I had a couple of small bottles of juice in my plastic carry on liquid bag and the rest went in the hold (in plastic zip lock bags). The stuff in the hold actually leaked less than the stuff in my hand luggage!. The batteries show up in the x-rays but I was just asked if I was carrying e-cigarettes in my handbag, how many then was asked to show them - no problem at all. Have a great holiday, I am really jealous given the grotty weather here at the moment.

Hi lee & welcome to the forum. As you're long haul, probably best to put spare liquids in your hold luggage, with a little for travelling use in a Ziplock in your hand luggage. When I went through security, I just had to pop the two clearos/batts I had on lanyards around my neck, into the Ziplock along with other liquids I was carrying. Once through, out they came & back around my neck. Have a fantastic holiday & I hope you manage to visit their first vaping shop.
