Just packing for a few days away and as I searched for the travel plug adaptors (to charge my e-cig batteries) I came across an old pack of nicorette patches - have to admit I immediately burst out laughing at the thought of how useless they were/are and got a strong urge to bin them with a shout of "I've quit now you useless barstewards, no thanks to you!" ...  Rock on e-cigs  (anyone want some free nicotene patches before I do actually bin them?  ) |

lol I'd pin them to the dartboard Rog I went to the doctors once, and as we were chatting he asked if I had holiday plans, I was abotu to go to cyprus and he started writting out a prescription. I asked what it was for and he said free nicorette chewing gum for the flight. "It's nearly 5 hours without a ciggy you will need it" were his words. I hated the gum but I figured that doctor was definatly a smoker. He must of been, he didn't once tell me to quit and gave me free nicotine lol My kinda doctor  |

LOL, shame he didn't prescribe e-cigs eh!
When I tried the gum it made me gag and almost throw up - disgusting stuff!

Lol that would of been ideal I'm with you there on the gum though, I didn't enjoy it one bit, and made my tongue feel all funny too  I think if I'd of had to use that to "quit" I wouldnt of lasted more than an hour, never had the chance to try a patch but hubby said it made his arm really itchy. Did it do that with you ? |

How anyone quits smoking with the NRT products available I'll never know, the gum is gross and the patches I tried didn't stay stuck on for long . . . Sammy woke up one morning with an overnight job stuck to his head, same happened with HRT patches . . . abandoned those as well very swiftly. Who wants a nicotine addicted, hormonal male dog after all!  |

Yeah, I ended up with a rash - problem was as I remeber you're supposed to put the patch in a different area of skin each time preferably in the stomach area - I ran out of areas i hadn't used there and they were a bit itchy from the patches anyway so I ended up reusing places I'd 'patched' before and they got itchier and then got red, bit like heat rash. Horrible, horrible! perpetua lol |
