The warnings on most sites just say 'Are you over 18?' with just a 'yes' or 'no' required. I don't think there are many kids who are going to be honest in their response. I still think Proboards are way OTT with a forum like this, and would have better things to do... unless they are being leaned on. ???

I'm sure there are probably many forums in their client base that would cause bigger problems... but what do I know?

I mod on a site that has an age restricted forum, we used to pm the password to members who requested it and included their date of birth, it was invisible to guests. If the offending material is in a restricted area you can have a disclaimer along the lines of if easily offended etc etc.

Plot, I reported a picture of a mod being held down the pants of a woman, something that wasn't just banter or flirting or chatting up, or the use of double entendre amongst members. On a serious note though i have seen some piccys where i have thought "Hmm don't think that should be posted" or "Don't think this post will be here long"

I am no hum bug or anything but there is a line somewhere, just knowing where to draw it.

I know it's all only done as banter but we have to think of all angles, not just whether it be female or male.

I didn't see the two images that lal has referred to and I am therefore unable to pass comment on them. However, I do feel that Lal was quite right in reporting to Chrissie any content which she thought was offensive and letting Chrissie decide what course of action was appropriate. I would urge anyone who is offended by any post to do the same as the moderators can't be expected to see every post and need to be made aware asap when offensive material is posted.

However, any "adult" images that I have seen on this forum have, as far as I can remember, been posted in jest/banter and have been received in that spirit by both the gents and the ladies. Even Tony's avatar was commented upon by several of the ladies in the spirit of "Ah, those were the days when I looked like that" and "I didn't know you were filming my bum!" ... in other words responded to in the spirit in which it was offered. I think it is a sad day when we "adults" can't have a bit of fun without the PC police breathing down our necks and threatening to close us down.
