Cleaned and soaked my iclear 30 and dry burned. Filled with juice and just checked the ohms cos I'm not getting the flavour and its showing 4.8? What am I doing wrong?

One of mine did that after soaking and drying, but I didn't dry burn it, I just let it dry out for a few days on its own. The ohms kept changing every time I checked it, up and down like a yoyo. Wasn't working too well either so ended up binning it and putting a new one in. Seems like they work sometimes after cleaning and sometimes not

The dual coils are in parallel ... 2 x 4.0 ohms giving a total resistance of 2.0 ohms (I know it is confusing but that's the way it is lol) so when one coil blows you are left with one coil of 4.0 ohms.

I've done a bit of research previously and the iclears are virtually impossible. For my first go the evods look a bit simpler!

Mix of res and non res wire with tiny little insulating sleeves on the legs and a 100 ways to end up with a short. I started on one and although i got it together i never even bothered trying it out as it was so faffy i was gauranteed to have a short somewhere I just buy them from fasttech each month.

Damnit! This hobby is gonna cost me a fortune! Might have to start rebuilding the evods! You know what . . . I've had an Iclear16 coil on the go now for almost 4 months, it's used daily, I've not cleaned it once either. It's probably coming to the end of it's lifetime now, I might clean it or I might simply bin it as for a disposable item, it's more than fulfilled. All this obsessive cleaning/dry burning does more harm than good as far as I'm concerned.

Must say, I'm a firm believer in the old addage " if it ain't broke don't fix it" All this washing and dry burning is understandable if your needs are for various flavours in the same atty. Me, i just keep seperate attys for different juice..Seemply!! cl0wn Nothing wrong with Evods, OK so they are single coil but least a whole lot easier to recoil and thus control the rsistance to your taste and not that of a manufactuer. Go ahead and give it a go, costs pennies to recoil/rewick and the pleasure you get is most gratifing..

Having spent a long time getting the iATTY set up where it neither leaks, gurgles or gives dry hits, and having tried silica, ecowool, single wick, dual wick, 2mm wick, 3mm wick etc, etc, etc in the process .... the bugger ain't ever coming apart again! ... I will refill it and vape it over and over until the coil dies and then it will be laid to rest in the back of a drawer until some member needs a spare part.
