@freefromsmoking Having spent a long time getting the iATTY set up where it neither leaks, gurgles or gives dry hits, and having tried silica, ecowool, single wick, dual wick, 2mm wick, 3mm wick etc, etc, etc in the process .... the bugger ain't ever coming apart again! ... I will refill it and vape it over and over until the coil dies and then it will be laid to rest in the back of a drawer until some member needs a spare part. And here was I thinking that was all part of the joy of going down the RBA route!!

It's just this bugger .... other more experienced rba users have told me that it is very finicky regarding the type of wick that is best suited to it .. bastos wick seems to be the way to go but I ain't got any of that atm. RBAs in general are definitely the way to go ... the flavour that I get from the Diver is in another dimension compared to any clearo I have ever used so I will persevere with the iATTY when I get the bastos wick .... I'm a sucker for punishment, I know!

It was my first ' proper ' rebuildable tank system so I'm hoping that my skills may have improved a little now . . . or not. Seeing as I succumbed to one from Billy. . . I'm joining you on the sucker for punishment step.

Damnit! This hobby is gonna cost me a fortune! Might have to start rebuilding the evods! You know what . . . I've had an Iclear16 coil on the go now for almost 4 months, it's used daily, I've not cleaned it once either. It's probably coming to the end of it's lifetime now, I might clean it or I might simply bin it as for a disposable item, it's more than fulfilled. All this obsessive cleaning/dry burning does more harm than good as far as I'm concerned. The iclear16 has turned into my favourite, it must be three months old now and performs just great. I do dry burn mine every fortnight and it does get the flavour back up. When I dry burn, after rinsing, I just lay it on some kitchen towel and keep moving the head to a dry bit of the towel. I dont dab it to quicken the process, I find that it is so easy to affect the position of the coils and create a possible short like that.

On a serious note, I have got mine going sweet as a nut now ... turned the wattage down from my normal 8 watts to 6 watts and found the sweet spot. Funny thing is that it is the same eliquid and the same 1.8 ohm silica coil set up that I have in the Diver and it vapes like a champ at 8 watts .... horses for courses I suppose.

I'm hoping the ready wires, which weren't available a couple of years back will be my saviour Freefrom as there's no doubt when it was running properly it's a great RBA. For less than £20 it was worth a punt.

Got to agree that the pre-made wires are great .. at about 6p each it saves a lot of faff and you know in advance that your resistance is always going to be the same as what you ordered. And the iATTY for £18 delivered is indeed a Billy bargain ... OK I'll just get my coat.
