Sooooooo confused - help

I am completely new to mxing my own and I want to choose 3 flavours from just one vendor (to save on postage).

I only like sweet & creamy type flavours such as butterscotch (my favourite) and I've been looking at tons of reviews on various sites which have completely got me going round and round in circles. Example: reviewer 1 says about a particular flavour something like 'hardly any flavour, not worth buying' and then reviewer 2  says 'lovely flavour rich and creamy, you don't need to add much' who to believe    Reviews are all over the place and not consistent at all, in fact they're flippin opposites.

Soooooo, now that I am totally confused at which 3 flavours to buy can anyone here guide me. As a complete newbie to this and taking into account that I prefer sweety or creamy type flavours what would you suggest I buy and from where (one place only).

With the new mixing kit I'm waiting for there will be Capella's strawberries & cream and vanilla custard but I want another 3 flavours.

My sister-in-law will be bringing these over to me from the UK next week so I need to place an order with someone fairly quickly. Soooooo confused at which to order

The above will give you a nice creamy Vanilla Custard and maybe if you want to add a fruit flavor of your choice with it.

p.s Don't look into reviews to much as we all have different views of what is nice and what is not.

Hi Super-Shiny I've already got on order the Capella vanilla custard and I've got a sweetner coming too, but I'm taking onboard the French vanilla deluxe you mentioned.

Maybe a blueberry one as well ? everyone seems to like blueberries (never tasted them myself) so not sure.

With the reviews I've been looking at, it's not so much the not liking or liking of a flavour, but the inconsistency with some saying it's strong or it's weak, or it smells like old socks and another saying it smells just like the real thing that's been getting to me

Classic example of everyone's taste buds, that is the best part of mixing, start at low percentages and just increase if the flavor is not strong enough for you, as for tastes like old socks you will get that everywhere, some will like it some will not, it's down to you too decide, look at the bright side if you don't like the concentrate it is less damage on your purse than buying a pre-made juice you don't like.

Forget to mention, finger tasting a concentrate is quite useful, it can sometimes indicate how potent a flavor can be and also give some kinda indication of how it tastes.

Don't fancy finger tasting Super-Shiny so I've ordered some bauway atomizers today for tasting small amounts.

When i say finger testing i mean straight from the concentrate bottle as they are only food flavorings, i would advise you not to try a concentrate on it's own on a bauway atomizer

Ok, going on what romelee suggested and using one in the AAEC Capsule Collection along with a fruity one of my choice I'm now looking at getting these 3:

TPA - French Vanilla Deluxe
TPA - Blueberry extra
Capella - Cinnamon Danish Swirl

Those 3 along with my original order (on it's way) of:

Capella - Strawberries & Cream
Capella - Vanilla Custard
Ethyl Maltol - Sweetener

How does that sound as a starter for a newbie mixer?

I'm thinking I could mix    Cinnamon Danish Swirl with Custard, maybe the Blueberry with French Vanilla Deluxe and/or Vanilla Custard

Cheers Super-Shiny but would have to be a later order, coz can only order 3 bottles for my sister-in-law to bring over on the plane with her.

I like rhubarb quite a lot, so will look for some of that flavour another time too.

Forgot to mention the only reason i said the above is because you are very limited to one flavor on the fruit side of things and in the long run it would save on postage (postage hurts) and the others are good background/bases flavors.
