Not keen on those slide on/off switches, tend to fall to bits. Anyone know how the Voltmeter works?

I`m told on FT that you screw your battery/mod onto the adapter and then screw that assembly on to the resistance checker to measure voltage drop of the mod.

Hmm, so the only switch mentioned is on/off Therefore it must be able to work out what test to perform, that's clever, assuming It isn't a confusion in the description. Put one in the basket for next order, could be a handy tool to have.

Do they mean it's still measuring resistance? or it's just reading the voltage at the mods terminals, then you can use that to calculate your drop under load?

Basically its just a digital voltmeter display....apply over 3 volts or something like that it powers up the display and shows the voltage.
By using a battery and a very simple circuit you can make the display show the resistance. It may or may not work by applying just volts, but expect it does if they say it does, but only expect it to work for over the minimum voltage for these displays often around 3 or 3.3 volts. This display used may actually have the simple circuit built into it, or may have a separate circuit inside the box. Just a few resistors and if you are lucky a zener diode.
