i am going too take the plunge and mix my own. firstly i only like tobacco flavours gv, drum, old holburn etc etc.all will be 100%PG. currently i am using zainy hangsen dk tab 24mg(which is not great, neat) i then because it is not really to my liking add a few drips of grizwalds banofee toffee, cocomel or caramel 20ml batches just to take the edge of it. what i need too know for now is the best deals on PG nic base and what flavourings i could/should use for a reasonable tobacco juice. i had started to look into mixing a while back but 99% of you like flavours but i really only like a hint and mainly if i like the tobacco flavour i dont bother with any added flavours. generally there doesnt or didnt seem to be much info on tobacco mixes other than too use tobacco leaves, at this stage i just want too create a standard lets say drum or gv type juice. i will likely go for a litre or 500ml at this stage and if im honest im doing this too keep costs right down so dont really want to save on the nic only to pay silly money for flavourings, which was part of the reason for me buying in 500ml batches from zainy as it seemed cheaper than mixing but with new postage rules and the fact that its not the greatest tasting juice ive ever had mixing my is the way i have to go. i need to keep things simple as i tend too start over thinking and getting obsessively involved anything i get into and i want too avoid this if possible. any pointers would be great. raggy......................

Hi ragjoy, I have been buying 75mg nic base in the USA a litre at a time. With shipping it comes in at just under £100. To buy a litre of flavouring, if you can get it in so large an amount, would cost you about 3 times that amount but ofcourse you would be using a lot less per mix. A litre of flavouring would last you about 12 years. If I were you, I'd be looking at the likes of Paradise Vape and trying some of their tobacco samples (10ml) and seeing which ones I liked. Only then would I be looking around for the same flavours and then mix my own. I tried about 15 different tobacco samples before settling on "Royal" as being the nearest flavour to what I used to smoke fag wise. I then looked at the different companies that sold flavouring and found the F'Arts sold Royal flavouring. I now mix 200ml of Royal every 7 weeks or so and that is my during the day vape. Although I have mixed some multi ingredient mixes, I tend to stick to simple, one shot, recipes as these are easier to adjust to my tastes. Perhaps in time I will experiment with other ingredients to tweak my mixes, but really I am just starting on the mixing route and I am content with what I produce.

thanks LD. not sure on strengths but assume you buy the stongest, the first link i used was this vapersemporium.co.uk/index.php?id_product=29&controller=product&id_lang=2#/diy_size-1000mlwhat is the difference to the one you get from america? i used a few of james@ paradise vapes tobaccos but couldnt get on with them, this was a couple of years back but i think he was using vg nic for his pg mixes and this gives me blinding headaches although i have used other vg and been fine, much of the reason i dont like too try other flavours is they give me headaches, immediately. ive liked most drum and gv tobacco juices, i will look at f'arts and see what they have. thanks for the reply. raggy...........

If you just leave a litre of nic in its plastic bottle on a shelf it'll degrade a bit by the time you use it. I bought a litre of nic from the US (2 in fact). Bought amber glass 250ml childproof bottles, decanted it into them, put poison labels on, put them in the freezer. Don't know if I would have done all that just to save money - it is also in case legislation stops us buying it one day.

Hi ragjoy, At the time I was buying from Nic Vape in the USA, the highest MG level I could find in the UK was 52mg (5.2%). That one you linked to sounds good to me and if I had known about it, I would have bought from there. Nic Base from Nic Vape takes about 10 days to arrive, so it is fairly quick. The first couple of litres that I bought, I decanted into 100ml glass bottles for the freezer, but subsequent litres went straight in the freezer, still in their plastic bottles. Once I have 10 empty glass jars, I will decant the next litre into them, but until then they will stay in the bottles they came in. While in the freezer, I don't think it will make any difference what they are in. The only reason I am using the 100ml glass bottles is that as I need them, it is better to just be taking out one 100ml at a time. I am like giles on this. I am not buying in bulk to save money, although I do, but just in case the legislation goes against us in the future. Already the Post Office is going against us although not directly, so anything may happen when the government step in. We are, at present, in the very fortunate position where we can safeguard our own vaping futures and if you can afford to do so, now is the time to act.

Use the code SANTA25 to get £18 off bringing the cost down to £57.99 shipped from a UK supplier, not too shabby methinks!
Also avoids the possibility of customs charges.

thanks des i couldnt find a code last night. on looking at his PG (propylene glycol)500ml it says "used for mixing with AG/VG nicotine base and flavours to make your own favourite juice" whereas the AG one says "use this to mix with your PG (propylene glycol) base nicotine and flavour to make your favourite juice," i will be buying PG nic and want a pg only mix but this is confusing me. any opinions please. raggy..........

Most people have a mix of pg and ag/vg in there e liquids. Some 50/50 some 60/40 iy is all down to personal preference. If you want just pg then get pg nicotine and pg on its own and this will give you a straight pg mix. Always good to have some vg though. More pg is more throat hit and slightly more flavour. More vg is more vapour. Sent from my Galaxy Note 2
