As many of you will be aware the best genesis atomisers have reduced air chambers, this is one of the best ways to bring out the flavour. the problem is that most that have the desired reduced chamber also cost quite a bit more than the more run of the mill stuff. i have seen the plastic inserts you can get for the RSST, I'm not keen on the idea of plastics next to what may become a red hot coil. I'm sure it's fine when everything is working perfectly and positioned just right, but on those other days I don't fancy vaping plastic fumes. So I have been playing with simple DIY ways to reduce my top cap chambers. i have currently settled on packing the unwanted space with cotton wool. it would be hard to miss the popularity of the material as a wick, but I like mesh wicks. So I can't see any issues with it being in contact with my juice or under the hood of my atomiser. i simply pack some cotton wool into the back half of the chamber, replace the top cap and then I can do a final fine tune through the drip tip opening. i then give it a soak with some liquid which holds it all in place. To make life easier i then leave to top cap in place and with the help of a long blunt needle I can refill the tank through the drip tip opening.

Nice one Mark. That has been my thought on the Kaifun etc vapor production, it`s all down to chamber size. I used to run a pretty small Phoenix dripper and the vapor production was great in it.

The smaller the better, I've snugged some into my stormrider which already Had a tiny chamber and it's just astounding how much more flavour I now get. My ihybrid had been getting neglected but now it's back in regular use, making me smile again. I have a doc Dave turbine on the way and that has a reputation for being A flavour monster, it should be interesting to turn the volume up on that.

I do pretty much the same but use tin foil I started the experiment with foil, then I was warned about it being potentially toxic when in contact with liquids. There is some research on aluminium poisoning from cooking with tin foil. I'm sure it's ok in limited exposure, but all day everyday straight into lungs is a bit of a worry.

You may well have something there, I only use gennies very occasionally though. Will have to do some research
