Finally got all my stuff ! after half hour of fiddling(didn't put coil in to start with ) I managed to fill my protank 3 correctly, after trying to squeeze juice in to the middle instead of the side , doh ! 1. putting juice wrongly in the middle, will that damage coils ? (what a mess on the tip and everywhere else ) 2. I set V5 to 11W as it sounded like a good number, is that a high value ? 3. ohms read 2.0 , I am guessing that is correct for a pt3 stock coil? 4. when the time comes do you buy new coil pack or just innards and recoil it ? 5. higher coil ohms means stronger vape I guess ? 6. So let me get this straight , for example to increase strength of vape I have to consider juice strength, coil pack resistance, voltage or wattage values ? so I have to play with these over the coming months to get it right ? 7. oh, and then there is the juice "fermentation" process which I should do too ? you guys remove drip top and just hide it away for a month in the dark with an open top ? 8. that cigarette looking thing I got from sainsbury's that I used for all of 5 mins(which started all of this) , what an abomination of a replacement for smoking that turned out to be ============================ 2 hours of vaping : I like it and really think it will work, already disposing and putting smoke items away

Just a quick note as I'm a bit busy, but for a 2 ohm coil I start at about 7 watts for a day or 2 and as the coil ages go up to 8w for the next 5 days or so maybe a little higher at the end. At 11 watts some juices will burn. I stick a new coil in once a week - replacenets are an easy option and at £2 each not too expensive.

Welcome, Sounds like your muddling through with the good old trial an error method. A good place to learn about the equipment you have, or are thinking of getting, Is youtube. You can go for a general search and just type in the name of the device and "review" Or go to one of the big reviewers channels, Grimgreen Pbursado Or if you don't like an American accent Todds e cig reviews Just type in the name of the device into their search box, All the above also do general tutorials on vaping in general. And yes, at the end of the day it's about playing around until you find what suits you, There is no wrong way, just your way.....

thanks guys, done discodes ! markm, already been on youtube ta.
got 18 strength juice, will get same flavour at 24 and try it, will also buy coil packs
As W=VI and V=IR hence W=VV/R (thats V squared over R) at 7 watts and 2 ohms the voltage is 3.74 . So on my V5 to get same results as 7 watts I could instead set volts to 3.7 ?

DiscoDes gives good advice there 11w might be a bit high to start off with. Personally I'd start right at the bottom & work my way up the Vs till you find your own sweet spot, there's no right or wrong figure just what works for you, plus different juices like different V's. I wouldn't worry about filling the protank wrong, first ever clearo I got filled it, left it to soak not realising I hadn't screwed the drip tip right in . . . 1.6ml of juice down the back of the garden bench before I'd even had my first vape we've all been there

Go steady with Nic strength, less sometimes is more. PG VG content can affect "Throat Hit" which is what I, and many ex-smokers, miss. Increasing and decreasing Volts will change the "Hit", don't worry TOO much about Watts stick with Standard Res heads, usually 1.5 oHm or 2.0 oHm or 2.5 oHm, and vary Volts to taste. I increase my Voltage over the day, with the same juice, to change the hit. Different juice & PG/VG ratio will also alter how your Vape goes. It is a matter of personal taste mainly, thats why Vaping is entertaining, 'cos what you think is the Bee's Knee's re. Device PG/VG Nic content, Flavour, Volts, Watts etc. etc., the next Vaper will disagree, and you can spend many happy hours on here discussing it!!

I personally don't use voltage on Vamo only watts. Set to 8.5 and forget about it. It will automatically change the voltage on the device in relation to your coil resistance. My coils mostly average around the 1.8 - 2 ohm mark. When steeping juices no need to leave lids off just give them a shake and open them up every day or so. If they taste nice straight off the bat then no need to steep at all. Edit: I've increased my wattage recently to 9.5 (I forgot )

Filled it, tipped it right way up and was smelling of ejuice all night long ! With a dark juice patch on my leg !

I used to vape my protank at 8 or 8.5watts on my Vamo. Also higher ohms don't mean a stronger vape. You actually get more vapour at a lower ohm coil. Also I only use my Vamo in the watts setting save me fiddling if I change my atty/head. As for changing heads I changed mine when I noticed flavour or vapour got to little sometimes they lasted 3 weeks
