I bumped into a friend in my local vape shop today, we were both stocking up on liquids, she fancied the liqua watermelon flavour but had heard certain fruit flavours could crack a plastic tank, she uses an evod. As I've only used boges so far I wasn't much help. The vendor said he hadn't had any reports about watermelon but she is reluctant to take just his advice. I recommended the forum but thought I'd ask on her behalf, has anyone heard of liqua watermelon cracking an evod? Do evods crack? They seem pretty well made

If its any help,I've had cinnamon-red-hots in a chi-vod for months with no problems. I believe crh to be a tank cracker. I don't know if evod tanks and chi-vod tanks are the same material? I'd say give it a go - its only an evod, not particularly expensive in the scheme of things. DiscoDes may know?

It's not very likely that "normal" juices will crack a plastic tank. I've been vaping citrus, watermelon, fruits, and cinnamon and all sorts in plastic tanks from the early days. Besides, Liqua barely has any flavouring in it....as far as I can tell. (whoops, shouldn't have said that...) - - - Trying to think which Liquas I have used. Tobacco - Bright, Traditional, Turkish, American, French - all OK Citrus, Grape (that one is the no.1 worst juice ever), Cherry, Menthol, Berry, Cola, Apple, Coffee - All OK. I guess Watermelon is new. I just buy/acquire them, try them and give them away more often than not. They are mostly disappointing to my taste. I went to a vape meet once and at the end of the evening, there were 22 bottles of the stuff. Nobody wanted them, I took them and then understood why.

Haven't heard of water melon being a tank cracker myself, generally ( but not always ) it's the acidic type flavours that do damage . . . I'd be inclined to take the retailers advice. If the worst did happen, then at least she could take the Evod back for replacement as the eliquid was recommended as being fine.

cinnamon red hots does not crack my Evod tanks but does make them go cloudy. I'm mainly using Protank's now so not an issue for me any more.

Lol - I asked you about redhots a couple of months back, & all has been good in the chi-vod since. Can't even say its made it cloudy. I tagged you in this one, as I believe you're a watermelon user as well? ps - I love my protanks as well, and I'll not risk anything aniseedy in anything else

Cinnamon is supposed to crack plastic tanks, but I have found no problem so far. Never heard of Watermelon being a problem though.

She has apparently mixed it with a mint she found too strong and seems fairly happy...melon and mint, different I spose.. Each to their own!
