I am interested in getting a genesis atty due to the style and width. I have my eyes on the Smoktech RSST. I was looking for something short with a good width on it to go on a 22mm width mod.
I do not want to go down the mesh route, to much hassle and does not seem as cheap as silica/cotton.
I have been reading up on silica/cotton builds on attys today to get an idea on how it all works. It looks like it can work but might have dry hit issues.
So I thought I would see if anyone here is successfully using an atty with silica/cotton and would actually recommend it?
And maybe even some tips/pictures of your set up.
The big issue I can see is juice leaking out the holes if tipped so this could be just a home vape.

Naive question: is a Kayfun-style atty not better than a Genesis if you're sure you want to stick with wick?
I really didn't get along with Genesis-style RBA (in fact I'd be happy to pass on an Aga-T2 if someone wants a go)

If you are asking...."is anyone using silica on an atomizer (genesis) usually set up with mesh?", then I can't help. I have enough trouble with atomizers that were conceived for use with Silica. It can be done, but I have turned down an RSST a good few times on my shopping basket.... I fear it's a big-time pain in the posterior.

I will have to look for a decent clone.

I can vouch for this one: www.smokecloud.co.uk/tanks/silica-tankIt combines the best of the Kayfun 3.1 and the KFL. It is a bottom filler with adjustable air control. (I think it may actually be a Russian 91%)

Well, I'm very pleased with mine so far and it is comparable IMHO to my 3.1 ES and KFL, both of which cost quite a bit more.
