Hello FFS I mixed it at 15% and for me it's just right. I steeped it for about 3 weeks before trying

Thanks for that, this is one of my new concentrates as I like the ready mix so much I went and ordered my favourite 5 from JJ and then realised I'd not read much on forum about recommended percentage mix I'll have to pick members brains when I'm ready to go, have no plans to mix and match up flavours, just get one concentrate mixes to cost cut!

I don't think it has any liquorice TJ, at least I hope not. This is the first time I have bought it which is why I am looking for a recommended % to mix it at.
JooseJuice describe it thus:
Black Gold is a mix of honey and tobacco flavours but tends more towards a pipe, rather than a cigarette, tobacco. For the flavours to work well together, we recommend a steeping time of at least TWO WEEKS Made from UK and US sourced pharmaceutical grade PG and flavours.

Mine tastes of tyre fire at the moment, after 2 weeks, so will leave it another week before having another blast.

I mix a lot of tobacco flavours and find that they all need at least 4 weeks steeping to get the full flavour .... the longer they are left, the deeper the flavour becomes. .... What % did you use in your mix oldleatherlungs

I'll await your review to see if it's any good I tried snake oil the other day and that had a liquoricey taste to me so wasn't keen

I would say you have more of a honey flavour and then the merest hint of the tobacco taste. The longer it steeps the nicer it becomes in my opinion. There isn't any liquorice in it village idiot , it's as FFS states honey/tobacco

@freefromsmoking I mix 8% of JJ Black Gold in a 70/30 mix and find it just right.

LOL It's a truism that we all have different tastes ... From Griff at 8% to sue1952 at 15% and Fred Hogg (different thread) who had contacted Joose Juice and Jim had advised 20% ... I'm as stumped as ever ... Thanks for all your replies and I think I will start off with 15% as my taste buds are pretty much shot. I can always add more concentrate or base to adjust it if I find it too weak or too strong.

@freefromsmoking - good plan. My taste buds are pretty naff, and I'll be mixing my T-Juice concentrates at 15% minimum - I doubt very muc hthat it'll be too strong, and I can always add more later if I like it but feel it needs some extra flavour!

I've been using BG premixed as my adv, I contacted Jim at JJ just before ordering the concentrate and he advised they use 25% in the premix so I will be replicating. When I've bought pre made it arrives a really golden colour but after a week or two it turns a lovely burnished red colour, when it's nice and red it's ready to use, before that I find it very chemically
