coil making issues

Ive been vaping for approx 4 months. .trying to get into rebuilds for extra flavour and vapour..ive watched many vids on how to re build. .each time I do it just spits and gets atty very hot!!!....I use 30g wire and tried both silica and cotton..also tried 4-5wraps and 10+ (micro coil) still with same result. .what am I doing wrong? ???

Depending on what atty you are using, they will get warm/hot and spit a bit, especially when the coil is new. The coil is trying to boil the e liquid on the metal coil and turn it into vapor. What is the vapor production like? Are you getting a burn taste? What is your wattage?

Im recoiling a igo w and coming out between 1-2 ohm and putting 7-9watts through it

Vapour should be reasonably good with that set up. Does it taste burnt at all?

At the risk of "trying to teach Granny to suck eggs", you are drawing the vapor really slowly arent you?. The slower the better.

I'm wondering, with my limited knowledge, if the coil is strangling the wick. If it's wound too tightly, the wick is unable to supply enough juice to the coil in time, resulting in less vapourisation. This might explain your problem, especially if there is a burnt taste too, as robby mentions above.

No burnt taste..just no flavor and slight "wierd " taste..the cotton isnt being strangled as I make coil then slide cotton throug. .really dont uunderstand lol..I copy the vids excactly??...thankyou for reply. .guess just av to keep trying
