@johanino Taifun does not make a "spheroid" type atomiser, they make 2 models. Taifun GT -aka- Kayfun, Russian, Tank atties. Taifun GS ,allows to use as dripper mode, and a tank mode holding 5mls juice. Hope this clears it up description wise. (only trying to help peeps) GT not a "spheroid". jeffc .... @johanino 's reference to "Spheroid" was that the Taifun GT can be set up with Spheroid style wicking ... see page 4 of the Taifun GT user guide shop.strato.de/WebRoot/Store11/Shops/61925514/MediaGallery/Taifun_GT_User_Guide.pdf

jeffc can you check the deck I am hearing reports that the deck is chrome plated brass from the FT forums Just checked, yes the deck is brass plated, "might" be a problem, not sure, not up on chemical/metals mix. Sure someone on AEEC will confirm if OK to use. Oh, I'm not too keen on it being brass plated.

My sincere apologies to @johanino, you were correct in stating "Spheroid" type. YOU CAN USE THE GT IN SPHEROID TYPE MODE. Thanks to@freefromsmoking for correcting my "gross error". SORRY @johanino

Peeps. Be extra, extra careful when fitting the tank. Threads on plastic tank extremely fine. I have tonight had to order the stainless tank, as with my `crap` eyesight have managed too cross thread the plastic tank, on my first fill. So be very very careful. Unhappy `old git`

Village idiot formerly tjlumle No only the top deck (platform) where the coil fixing screws are situated, this is chrome plated brass, everything else is stainless steel I`ve tested all of it. Just be aware of those super fine threads on the plastic tank.

btw - the original Taifun (without GT, GS) had (has? not sure if they still make them) various modes, one of them was a filler tank type, like the Bulli A2 Klassik or the Spheroid. My girl still likes hers very much. With the GT, I don't see a point in the filler setup, the whole thing is dead easy to set up and doesn't leak. But the plastic window needs careful treatment, even on the original.

Yippeeeee. Managed to correct the cross threading, tank now fits correctly.
Be very careful after sliding inner shroud down to fit coil & wick. MAKE SURE SHROUD (part with Taifun Gt etched on it)is raised up to correct height. Otherwise when screwing back into filled tank, the inner top cap will not reach the tube chimney of the main tank, making a sealed unit. juice will then flow straight into main base and drip tip, (Nasty).
First time set up very fiddly to get all sections in correct position, but once achieved, it is a cracking vape, on a par to the Kayfun lite.
My set up is a micro coil using 0.3mm Kanthal 8 wraps & 1.4 ohms, wick is pure cotton. Quite an airy draw similar to the Kayfun lite...So far no leaks.
For the money I think we have a `bargain`.
Good luck to those who have ordered one.
Fiddlier than the Kayfun, but worth the effort
