Ah ok I get that I guess I can find that easy to buy in here .The one I actually have is a bit yellowish in color as they use it for caulking the planks in boats, I will give that a try as for sure it will be easier to insert in the coil

Sorry mate ... I stripped my old base down to have the deck screws, 510 pin and O rings as spares and dumped the remainder in the bin. Even if I could find the base at the bottom of the wheelie bin, I doubt that it could all be reassembled ... From what I have read on the Fasttech forum there is a barrel shaped component inside the deck with 3 holes into which the deck screws and 510 pin are located and if you remove both deck screws and the 510 pin all at the same time the barrel is free to move about and it is almost impossible to get it back into position and the 3 screws reinserted. If Kailey can't help it might be an idea to post a wanted thread in the classies as someone must have a spare, complete, chromed brass deck Thanks @freefromsmoking that's exactly what I did, well the 510 pin and one screw actually, it was completely fubbered before I even got the chance to use it! The second post screw was stuck tight and won't budge, I'll try a wanted ad, thanks for getting back to me.

melitahams, @freefromsmoking, kailey, Hi, would any of you be interested in selling me one of your redundant bases at all? I'm not bothered if it's plated brass or otherwise, it's just that on mine one of the deck screws is stuck fast in the post and the other I unscrewed to far and can't get the blimmin in thing back in again! Senior moment, and I'm only forty four! Thanks I'm sorry poochops I don't have another spare base Ok no problem thanks for getting back to me.

If you would still like it send me your address via PM and I will pop it in the post for you.

@johanino, melitahams, does the air tube from the base of the VB Taifun GT come off or is it fixed? The VB site says that their Taifun comes with a spare air tube in the box.
