Judging how my kids were when they were younger, you'd have one hell of a job making them get out of bed to do outdoor manual work. Geeeez, it was hard enough getting them to do anything!! They are fine now, but took their time growing up! I even remember my oldest saying she didn't understand how I could raise two kids, own a business and work night and day. I answered... I had no choice and who the hell do you think was was going provide your Christmases and feed and clothe you? Until they had their own family it just didn't compute in the brain!
I feel there is going to have to be a huge shift in values and priorities in the next few years.

The number of jobs isn't an absolute thing @freefromsmoking - it depends how many people are available, what they are prepared to work for, and manipulation by the elite to keep the job market 'competitive'.
If you find that hard to swallow, look at it another way. Someone born now won't, in 40 years of working, generate enough surplus value/profit to educate him for 20 years and keep him in retirement for 30. Somebody has to grow the food he is going to eat in the last 30 years, make his clothes, brew his ejuice and so on. He is going to need to do some of that work, because by the time he is 70 there won't be enough young people to do all the work to feed & clothe all the old ones.
Or look at it this way. If you are going to work for 40 years and retire for 30 then while you are working you need to save 3/7 of your income (give or take NI). You know anyone who saves that much?
