Edit - I'd suggest you make sure you've a plan B outfit already selected prior to giving that excuse.  That way you can tell her you've managed to come up with something before she goes about making you another outfit.

Why the ipad? Surely a macbook would be better. That has real keys I don't like ipads and iphones but I do like ipods and macbooks

And I have the lurgy....brilliant excuse but you'll still have the vile home made cough medicine from her LOL

Ipad is all we have at the moment due to a broken laptop, but I thonk a lot of the problem I have with the ipad ks that i type very fast and not used to a touch screen, so I probably touch the wrong letter and ipad fills in the rest.

Am going to buy a keypad that attaches to it though, so hopefully I will get better (ive gone into settings and changed auto fill but iys still happening

I have one of those iPad keyboards. They are very good, but I can't use it at the moment as where I sit doesn't allow me to rest it anywhere. Once we move to a new place I will get it sorted.

Update on dilemma....will be mostly editing this one but may get fed up and give up

I took the skirt back into my neighbour along with a thankyou card and a pot plant, ( already fed up of editing, one line and nad to check 6 mistakes! ...leaving it as nature intended now) and said that I kept the skirt on for an hoir or so to see how it felt as Im not used to wearing something loke that , but that it iynched me a lot and I reallly sisnt think I was going to be able to,wear it. i honestly thought she would be a bit disjointed but would understand, but she didnt

Ive upset her a lot. Actually she was very rule. i can see why pepper avoid her now she said I would look out of place if I didnt dress like that as its a rock and roll party and everyone else will be in failed skirts with nettles and imwould look stupid..( i beg to differ, Id rather go dressed normally than look as kf im auditioning for a part in Happiness days....huge skirts with poodles on them is what I call stupid!)

i said maybe I shouldnt go then and that made her even madness. i know shes lonely but, ffs. Anyway, after a bit of an awkward time she came up with a salutation...leggings underneath the skirt, apparently some of the rock and rollings wear them so, according to her, I wont look too stupid

So, as kt stands Im going on thursday wearing a spanky skirt, stuck on so,far I look like one of those gyspy brides, with leggings underneath..oh and she said i need to,put my hair in a ponytail so i look the party even more.

I feel like sabbatical the bloody skirt, accidentally ripping it or some thong.

Eitherbway, I cannot leave my house dressed lie that, I know i cant. Oh, and shes lending me some silver 50s dancing shoes, theybare vile with a t-bar and a little chunky inch healed. i said no its ok I,ll wear heels, but apparently they all wear eother those type of shoes or plimsolls . I tried to make a poke by saying i didnt realise it was fancy dress, but she didnt see the funny side.

Dont know what shes going to way when i turn yp in my normally clotes! But thats what Im going to,do, whether shes long or not Im not going out like a spanky xmas tree on legde!

Only just seen this thread, been in stitches reading it, sorry Smokeybebe, that helps with your dilemma not one little bit, but it's made my night...

And at least you can still go and "sit on a dark copper" when you're there!
