Hi all, thanks for the group add.
I brought a starter kit from E-Lites about a month ago along with 5 further tips. These ran out fairly quickly as expected. So with a bit of research found this little gem of a sit and have found a link for the refil juices from Vape Escape.
Saves a few quid. However, I am constantly having a toot on the stick. have a coffee, have a toot. drive to work ..toot....toot.... Now, I got this e lites kit as a means to kicking the smoking habit. All went very well, I quit the ciggies almost immediatly and have not even remotely been tempted back...
I brought 3 small bottles of Medium strength juice from the above mentioned site and so far so good....BUT....
Is vaping bad for you ? Can you over vape? Because, I am vaping my nuts off....damn thing is being used more than fags ever were !!!
Thanks for you help guys
Rich

One does not absorb as much nicotine from vaping, so one has to toot more

Welcome Rich! I am guessing your are refilling you E-Lites with liquid from Vape Escape. (Now, I am going to try and remain calm here.....deep breath, deep breath, cold sweat, major stress, paper bag, deep breath.. ) OK. So your little e-cig is a very poor product. It uses a cheap and underpowered battery which is paired up with a high resistance atomiser (the "refill bit") known to us regulars as a cartomiser. (Cartomiser is a cross between cartridge and atomiser) You can puff all day, every day, non-stop on something like this. It produces minimal vapour, low nicotine and the fact you have stopped at all is a miracle. An entire replacement cartomiser will provide less than half a packet of cigarettes in nicotine yield. So, puff away. I bought E-Lites and replaced the cartomisers at £3.99 a time, believing there was something wrong with me not getting "up to 40 cigarettes" from them. I spent a small fortune, then tried filling them myself. I guess I got 5 top-ups per cartomiser before they went mushy. Then, realising I had been taken for a ride, I purchased a similar but better product (JacVapour V3) which gave the impression that refilling was the "normal" way of using e-cigs. However, I still struggled, puffing away non-stop etc. It is not the strength of the juice that lets these products down...it is the ability to get enough nicotine in the puffing that you do. I vaped away on my JacVapour 40 times a day (up to 15 puffs a session) and filled them with 24mg e-liquid. Vaping constantly or seemingly "too much" is down to the products being rubbish and not the level of nicotine in the liquid. They are simply designed to offer the maximum puffs, there is no consideration for how much nicotine the user gets. - - However, once I got an "eGo" kit (mine was called Riva) I IMMEDIATELY went back to 10-15 "vapes" per day and never felt cravings and stopped worrying about having those sticks in my mouth 24/7. I cost me comfortably over £400 to discover these things. I smoked 10-15 a day....and these products didn't do the job. Good luck to you. I would start over again with a better e-cig and free yourself from these worries.

Hi dickielynch and I started on the cig-a-likes (skycigs) and stuck with them for over a year, but I still smoked off and on because they just didn't do it for me. A little over a month ago, I bought a basic starter kit and haven't looked back! It makes the world of difference, like night and day. Have a read through the beginners thread that Super-Shiny linked above, it's a great read. Is your juice strong enough for you? You don't mention how many you were smoking or what mg juice you have bought - medium I'm guessing would be 12mg?... could be that you need to get a slightly stronger one? I used to smoke a pack a day and use the 18mg juice and that works for me. What I found when I switched to vaping was that I take 3 or 4 puffs, then put it down for a bit... with smoking, you smoke the whole thing in one go, so whilst it may seem like you're vaping because you pick it up more often than you would light a ciggie, you actually only have a few puffs each time. From my understanding, nicotine has similar long term effects as caffeine, so yes, you can over do it, but just like when you've had too much coffee, your body tells you.

As others have already said get yourself a Christmas present of a better piece of kit and you wont regret it. It does feel as though you are constantly vaping (much more than smoking) but it is a lot safer, a lot less harmful and a lot cheaper (although it won't seem like it to start with). Just vape whenever you need to. When you first start vaping it is abit like a security blanket and you won't want to stop, however it does ease off with time. And welcome to the best ecig forum dickielynch

Hi & welcome to the forum, dickielynch. At least the E-Lites have got you off the cigs, so that is great, but cherry would be yummier, if you upgrade your kit using the links posted above.

dickielynch - a big hi and welcome to the forum!! As has already been mentioned, it's your kit letting you down, not the juice. Bite the bullet and get something with a more powerful battery (AT LEAST 650mah, and Variable Voltage if you can stretch to it), with a reliable clearomiser like a Protank or Mini Protank, or Evod or . . I could go on, just mention iClear16s too, great vape and the atomiser heads last for weeks!), and you will find a) you will feel much more satisfied, and b) the juice will have the desired taste and effect. I know it looks like a lot of cash to be spending, but if you are really serious about quitting smoking, equate it to your weekly spend with cigarettes or tobacco, and you will quickly see how little it is really costing you. The batteries should last AT LEAST 6 months with fairly daily usage, and a 10ml bottle of juice almost a week. With the occasional atomiser head to buy at a couple of quid each (or the price of an Americano at Costa!), you will quickly recoup all that cash, and you will have successfully given up fags! Please post if you need more advice, that's what we are here for!! AndyB

Welcome dickielynch, I did exactly the same as you, though it took me longer to find this forum. I started with skycigs/greensmokes which kept me off the ciggies, however now I've taken the advice from these lovely people I have moved on and up to a refillable starter kit and the difference is amazing, and I've saved a lot of cash. My advice is read the links and go for it, you won't regret it!

Hi Rich, You need to get something like this It's a great little kit with 2 batteries and 2 atomizers. Also get some spare heads as they are consumables. Good luck ! And don't be afraid to ask any questions.

A little over a month ago, I bought a basic starter kit and haven't looked back! It makes the world of difference, like night and day. Nice. I agree. The trouble with the small e-cigs is you can fill them with mega-nicotine-liquid and still puff them non-stop. That was the point I was trying to make (and getting carried away, as usual).

You will know when youve had too much. You will possibly get Headaches and/or the shakes. Both basically from too much Adrenaline that is released in response to Nicotine.Ut usually passes within a fe w minutes. There us some studies that show that Menthol actually makes the Nicotine stay around for longer than non menthol,so if youre "tooting" menthol you are more ,likely to get these side effects.
