Surely these programmes have to end soon. Total codswallop, I have only ever endured the pain of it whilst at other peoples houses - I would rather smash the tv into tiny pieces than watch such tripe, that's just my opinion though, everyone else I know makes a note in their diary to watch it

I am happy Sam won, her voice is amazing, she will have a long career, she's proven she can sing anything not just the ballad type stuff. Luke will have a fantastic career, he's original and has the right looks. I can see Nicolas in the West End, I was suprised that he made the final. That's just my opinion

Well I am also glad she won, though to be fair she had no competition in the final. Sam does have a fair voice but its almost generic. Imho it certainly isn't anything special. I also thought Luke deserved to win btw. I may be old fashioned or a music snob or whatever.. But I would rather hear someone with a "good" voice singing their own songs, than having a manufactured artist being thrust upon us. But Hey ho... If Lady Gaga can sell records then I truly must be in a minority.

I used to love the X Factor and watch it every week live and get emotionally involved in it. Recent years it has just got ridiculous. We decided that we would not watch the live shows this year, but we do enjoy laughing at the auditions so would still watch those. However while they were going on I was blown away by Abbi and Sam B so had to watch the live shows until they went out...every week I liked Sam, more and more and honestly feel that this year it was absolutely a talent show (although I agree Luke should have made the final).
Sam is not the typical pop star of today, she isn't young, isn't `sexy` and is far from the best looking contestant. Throughout the show she had few gimmicks but would stand on stage and belt out songs so beautifully, she sent shivers down my spine. I actually voted for her this year (the last person on a show like this I voted for was Gareth Gates) and burst into tears when she won as it clearly meant so much to her.
Despite all that in the cold light of day I almost wish she had come second or third and allowed to progress her career without being forced into a mould she clearly does not belong in, I am very worried that with her needing to conform to a mould as versatile as she is, it will be too processed and not successful, she needs space to be organic
