A transparent drip tip is a great help in judging how much juice you're actually dripping into the atomiser . . . I like the appearance of the fancy/metal ones alot, but always seem to return to the transparent ones.

I've only started using drip tips recently and am finding them great (although if you need glasses, then wear 'em!!! ). I've dripped into all types, including the Riva, and find I get much more flavour and, more importantly, I'm using (and wasting) far less liquid than using 'greedy' cartridges/tanks etc. If you're afraid of flooding, just use three drops at a time and a battery charger extension device* is useful to keep the juice well away from the battery if you tend to flood the atty/carto. Yes, you have to keep the filler in cartomisers. Just pull out the white plastic bung & fit a dip tip. I find the shape of the drip tips far more seductive than the flat end of a carto Where can i get the bits from ? I have the carts. Is there a video I can watch?

Most suppliers sell drip tips ( so it seems) often in a drip tip section or in the acessories section, the cheap and cheerful typ ejust a basic plastic are about 1 or 2 pounds. goign to more expensive coloured tips, different shapes and onto aluminium. Incredibly easy to use, just take the plastic bung out of the end of the cart tube and pop the tip on instead. www.vapeescape.co.uk/search.asp?types=Vaping+Spares+%3E+Drip+Tips That is a link to the drip tips on vape escapes site. There is probably a lot better videos out there but this was what youtube threw at me when I typed in drip tip user guide.

Pete, just to clear up any confusion, my reply to Sam about leaving the filler in, was referring to using a drip tip with cartomisers (cartos). However, if using with atomisers, you just replace the cartridge (cart) with a drip tip - ie no filler in the drip tip.

You could try Low Resistance atomisers Pete, but the throat hit is not going to be massively different to that which you get from Low Resistance Cartomisers.
You could also try more PG heavy liquids or even higher strength liquids.
The atomisers that come with a Riva are standard resistance, if that helps.

I might try a tank too.

I think the first thing is to establish exactly what you are missing Pete.
Is it just a wack in the back of your throat or are you not getting satisfaction in general and still craving.
If you are vaping on LR cartomisers or atomisers and still craving more than you would like - then you need to increase the strength of your e-liquid a bit to compensate.
Other options for throat hit include giving 5V vaping a go, which does increase the hit, but doesn't come as standard like Ego's & Riva's. So you are now in the 'Mod' territory.
Your other thread goes into that.
