New York City has adopted a ban on vaping indoors.
They have basically added e cigs to the existing smoke free legislation so its all banned in any public place indoors. The Bloomberg paradise becomes even more of a rich mans personal toy.

As in public places or indoors anywhere? All indoors apart from private residences. However loadsa people rent in NYC so like many smokers no doubt many will have to go outside.

Why the hell is everyone 'rushing' to get bans in place all of a sudden?! It just seems like everywhere you turn these days, some government official or whatever is going full steam ahead to ban e-cigs as soon as they possibly can. They're all coming out with the same ol' arguments and its as if e-cigs are the biggest plague on the earth It's just crazy

I agree Toots. Can it be coincidence? So many things....my brain hurts. NY are throwing the book at people selling e-cigs to under 18s. (as in criminal prosecution...) Maybe if the UK had done this, the "think of the children" argument might have been less of a sob story for the ANTZ.

Maybe if the UK had done this, the "think of the children" argument might have been less of a sob story for the ANTZ. Hey djs They debated that very same thing in the UK on a video stream I watched yesterday - making it a criminal offence for vendors to sell e-cigs to under 18s Oh, and get this too, for a normal pack of cigarettes they're going to bring in a ban on packs of 10 analogue cigs, due to them being cheaper so kids can afford them, but in the new restrictions for e-liquid that Clive Bates put out on his website sales of ONLY 10ml would be allowed once the new e-cig rules come into effect. Go figure

Toots like most Countries they did not anticipate the rapid growth in th eEcig market, now its booming etc , they all have missed jumping on the bandwagon,so while Mr China has made a tidy profit ,they havent.........now they will do anything till they do .....problem being only way is medical...so Govs could still miss out and hand companies massive profit increases while they rake little in to the tax coffers
