This is pretty shocking.

In the first 12 months, 24 people taking the nicotine-replacement have died, of whom ten took their own lives. A further 213 claimed they had experienced suicidal thoughts and 407 said they were suffering depression.

I know, I can't speak for the world, but why.t.h. are MEPs in Brussels getting into a right old state about e-cigs when 10 people have taken their own lives using an approved drug?

Yep, it's unbelievable isn't it djs and when you think about it that drug would have supposedly gone through rigorous trials?????!!!!!

It is probably more than that if truth be known, many more have also tried to commit suicide or caused serious harm to others.
Their figures are just what have been reported, and a connection made.
You are supposed to be checked before you are offered it, but that doesn't seem to happen.

I have my doubts over the "self reporting bit" I tried Zban a few years ago. I had a phone call from the NHS this year asking me if I still smoked, I bet they included that as a success for Zyban although Zyban didn't work for me - vaping did.

Only ten suicides, a complete failure compared to the hundreds of thousands of deaths each year the EU can look forward to causing with the TPD.
