I always remember him, Frank Bough and Dickie Davies from my youth. I have always been an avid sports viewer.

What a shame. I really liked David. RIP. I always remember him, Frank Bough and Dickie Davies from my youth. I have always been an avid sports viewer. The funniest thing on that page was the audio of him ripping into a poor cameraman. It would be great if someone could do a compilation of 'behind the scenes' clips that made our favourite personalities more human.

The amount of different sports he eloquently commentated on was amazing. You don't get that these days, and of course the Question of Sport years before Sue Barker. The amount of funny Colemanballs is very entertaining.

David Coleman Class act. Hosted Sportsnight which had one of the best ever sport theme tunes. Anyway David brought of a lot of joy with his style of presenting.
I didn't realise he was 87
