The Don is just a 'Mod' Pete, that takes a variety of batteries.
It's just a very well made battery holder really. Doesn't change the fact that you will still use atomisers or cartomisers.
You can buy a purpose made 5 Volt battery with it, which will pack more of a punch than vaping at 3.7V (Riva/Ego).
But, I don't know whether it's right to recommend it or not at this stage because you may just be having a struggle with your juice/carto combination.
Don't want you to shell out thinking it's a miracle cure, so to speak.

I'd agree Pete with Jason to an extent . . . although if it were me, I'd go for the Don and maybe get some LR Carto's/ Dual Coil's that Jason sells.
Those and a big battery mod, would give you extra omphage and I'd suspect more satisfaction with your vaping. . .

Lol, that's one way Pete.
So....
I think I sent you a prefilled menthol carto....how was that?
I'm not sure whether it was an LR or not, can you remember?
Have you tried LR carto's?
Sorry for the questions, but I'm trying to narrow it down a bit.

Pete, sorry if I've said this already, but I wonder if you are flooding your atomisers/cartomisers? Try blowing them out by blowing through though the thread end of the attie/carto. Lol Jason, also trying to narrow it down Pete's problem could be due to flooding or even the opposite - not enough juice

No, if you wanted the 5V battery you would buy it separately Pete.
Boge cartomiser come in both standard (3ohm) and low (2ohm) resistance.
The dual coils are even lower resistance (1.5ohm).
The idea is that a low resistance cartomiser on a standard ego/riva battery is supposed to pretty much equal a standard resistance cartomiser on a higher voltage device.
If you are not getting a decent hit off LR or dual coils, I would say that 5V wouldn't make a big enough difference to justify the cost.
But, opinions will vary.

River, one of our members on here, uses the Don at 5v and loves it I believe . . . although I use mine with a 18650 battery at 3.7v and it's fine for me. Unfortunately there's no hard and fast rule with these things and alot of the time it boils down to personal taste, that you have to experiment with to see what suits you best Pete. Modified to correct numpty error.

Blakey highly reccomends the don at 5v with a standard boge filled with whiskey cream Get two batteries though cos they dont last more than about 4 hours at full throttle

After vaping for 2 years I use a Riva with 650 mAh batteries and the Bud tanks from Safecigs. My missus freaked a bit when I tried CE2's and CE3's due to having to use a sringe to fill them. With the Bud tanks, no need for a syringe and they vape great! I have 3 batteries which I use in rotation and they have lasted for over 9 months!
