Tony, I just soak my single and dual coil cartomizers in cold water, until all the old juice is cleaned out of the filler material, then I let them air dry for several days. I have been able to re-use them several times.

Clear ones can be dismantled and cleaned but the others I would suggest as above, fill them with water and blow them through a few times then let them soak for a bit and blow them through again and leave to dry. Also you can get a griz whiz from Jason at vape escape and use it to completely empty your carto and again to force clean water through it, they're amazing gadgets for filling and emptying/cleaning cartos.

As Trog and a number of others say - Attys and Carts and whatever are not designed to last a lifetime. They are "disposables" and should be treated that way!
Someone posted this tried and tested method over a C9V and possibly UK Vapers:
THE BIN CLEANING METHOD!
1. Take low performing Atomiser or Cartomiser off your battery.
2. Open bin lid (if bin is open type go to step 3)
3. Throw said atty/cart into the bin!
4. close bin lid ( if your bin is of open type you may skip to step 5 )
5. Put new atty/cart onto your battery.
6. Enjoy...!!!
I have tried all of the varied and interesting ways of cleaning and revitalising attys and carts and whilst I have had some (limited) success, the reality is that it is still only a temporary measure...
Best Policy is throw them out!
Later...

I don't want to do a sales pitch Tye, so I will say 'make' yourself something like the Griz Whiz, which is a tube on a string/cord.
You put the carto in with a condom loosely attached and spin it around quickly. This removes the majority of the liquid by gravity.
I've then heard that popping them in the freezer overnight will revitalise them.
If they are more than a week old though, personally I throw them.

as long as you keep them wet and blow through regular they should last I use clear DC cartos and it's most off-putting when they go nasty mottled brown after 2-3 days - but filling is easier for me cos I can see what I'm doing with the needle and graduate the drips along the fluff. I presume one blows from the atty end? (Sorry, am useless with "maintenance" so I just don't do it, but I'd love these to last longer.) I shall buy Griz's gadget when his juice is next on offer scylla
