Well I thought I had to share this moment with you all, when I sat up off a chair my beloved Provari fell on the floor with a great slam! the cartomiser broke off with the thread left inside!!
I was like a child with it's best toy broke....what could you do? Luckily I used a tiny screwdriver and was able to turn it enough to release the thread left and then was able to unscrew it with my thumb.
Just letting you all know as a cautionary tale....not nice to deal with and utter disbelief when it happened. It took 2 mins to solve but before it felt like the end of the world.....

((( And ))) I feel your pain believe me . . . you handled the situation extremely calmly I think . . . I'd have called out the Fire Brigade at the very least. If mine falls over on the work surface, I get palpatations!! Thank goodness your's is ok!

Thought about making a neopreen sleeve for mine just in case i drop it .Another thing if the i atty is fitted and it fell over or got dropped the threads on the i atty are stainless steel and they would be ok but i doubt the provari's internal thread would be .I was going to get a wood turner to make me a nice hardwood tube which the provari would slide into but i think the neopreen sleeve is a better idea as it might absorb more of a shock .

Suppose I could knit a Provari Cosy HV . . . funnily enough I've a pattern in mind that I could probably adapt.

So glad you got it sorted And Hope you don't mind me moving this thread to the general section - just feel it could be helpful for any other Provari users that don't check out the community area

Can somebody lock this thread? It's like the forum equivelant of a snuff movie, or that quivering feeling a man gets when he sees another man get kicked in the nuts Dropping a provari

O no Dee! I think Kingtut had to return his for repair, but Provape got it back to him PDQ . . . so hope the same applies to you. I'd have to agree Blakey, but don't think I can lock the thread for that reason . . . Chris would have my guts for garter's if I did.
