It doesn't really matter although I use nipple top batteries. If I had flat top batteries I doubt I'd be able to keep the kick ring in 18500 mode due to limitations in switch adjustment.

ummm, don't confuse me lol. Just saw this on their promotion page and purchase along with a couple of other bits (protank 3, steam turbine genesis style atty,and a fogger . I have to admit that as it took 3 different size batteries I sort of assumed it was probably telescopic

With 18490 batteries in the Nemesis (flat top or nipple top), the beauty ring can not be used unless you use the optional longer 510 pin .... any other means of using this little ring with 18490 batteries, such as messing about with the switch, is a bodge.
