I was tempted, but going to wait for revews first, mainly on the button operation, especially if it has the rotatable locking button tube.

Are those really made with ss and brass of somewhat the same quality? or is it like those kayfun clones, something plated...

FT have learned their lesson now, you can be sure it is SS and Brass and silver plated bits as they say  Not sure about the spring, it looks a bit iffy but easily fixed if it is a problem.

I believe the inner battery tubes are chromed brass and the outer "shirt and pants" tubes are SS

Someone on the FT forum has suggested that it does have the rotatable tube button lock  ...  Is there an inherent problem with that system?

Not that I know of, but I can envisage it may be a problem in a not well done clone, i.e. button sticking etc due to the aperture being a tight fit for the button.

It`s hard to tell, but the insides of all those tubes look like SS to me, time will tell lol @freefromsmoking

have an early one of these the switch is cack
chromed brass mechanical switch that misses firing most of the time and no locking button the only good thing was its looks
have it in bits at the moment

this one is different and I hope the switching mechanism is too
