Well, not really sure how many of the peeps on here will have similar musical tastes to myself, but there may be one, lol. Possibly 2 if I'm lucky... Anyway, regardless, I generally post my latest DJ mixes online, and share them about as much as I feel fit, trying to increase the play count. So thought I'd maybe post a couple up here, see what you guys think. As I said, probably not your thing at all, but this site does offer a very varied mix of people, so you never know. Some background, I bought my first set of decks in 1998, and still use these today. A pair of Technics SL1210 mk2's. I have been through various mixers until I finally settled on my current weapon, the Allen & Heath Xone DB4. A fully digital mixer from the master of Analogue. It is one sweet bit of kit, with many, many fx that are all studio grade. Some are so subtle you would never know I'm manipulating the tracks live. I've tried other equipment, such as Pioneer CDJ's etc... but I keep coming back to my trusty 1210's. My set-up now has 4 Technics 1210's, with the option to run Traktor Digital Vinyl Software (DVS), where I spin a timecoded vinyl on the deck, and this sends a digital signal, through the mixers sound card, to my PC, in order to manipulate MP3's as I would with an ordinary slab of vinyl. I also have a record collection of 3000+ slabs of vinyl, so I can pick and choose, although mostly now I use DVS as mp3's are much cheaper than vinyl, and no p+p. Boost. The decks are run through the DB4, to my PC where Traktor records each set. I use a Reloop Contour controller to control Traktor for loading up tunes onto the decks, so my PC interaction is minimal, so it is just like playing on real vinyl. Anyway, I have had a wee break for the last 5-6 months, whilst I give up smoking, and concentrate on my work, but I put a mix down last night, so thought I would share it. x.mixcloud.com/xs2man/xs2man-cloudcast-023-04-01-2014/I upload to mixcloud as it's free. Woo Hoo. And I have a few other mixes up there too, if you like what you hear. See here : x.mixcloud.com/xs2man/Thanks. And any feedback welcome.

Usually Classic FM or Radio 4 on in the car during the day, leave the repetitive beats for evening driving, lol.

Listening now xs2man Mr Lairey is a DJ/Producer - mostly deep soulful house one of his He doesn't really DJ that much any more, but in his youth was a DJ for Hed Kandi. House music is pretty much a staple in our house, as you can imagine But as I type this, I can tell you I am very much enjoying your mix

Just had a listen to Mr Lairey there. Nice soulful house indeed. Would be great on a sunny afternoon, sitting outside scooping Pina Coladas. Love it...

Not really my cup of tea xs2man, i'm an old soulboy at heart, love most things before 31-12-1969 with the odd 'modern' tune slipping through the net.
I can identify with your love of vinyl though, sadly sold everything i had years ago when i thought the going was good only to watch prices keep rising.

Love for vinyl you say? This is my old set-up, but shows a small selection of my record collection: This is my current set-up though : You'd think I'd never even heard of a cable tidy, lol. Old pics, but pretty much still the same set-up. Might actually get off my hoop tonight and tidy it all up a little.

I'm impressed xs2man, i don't even own a turntable anymore, everything went as soon as i'd transferred all my vinyl to MP3 (clicks pops 'n' all), took forever.
