You can check your battery voltage with and without an atty attached, good way of finding out exactly what voltage is left for the atty when it is in use. You will be surprised what the difference is with various batteries. Some will drop by .6V or more with crap batteries.

its a shame the dont do these as dual-- volt/resistance ??? they would be popular and save peeps having to buy either seperate or vamo etc

It may come soon, it`s the next logical step. I have searched for a dual purpose chip that would do the job in a small package but cant find one.

Do ft do 510 connectors, for mod making? I couldn't find any, but thought you might know. I've ordered a couple of lm2596's from them at under £1. If I have to order the connectors and switches in the uk, the board will be the cheapest part in my mods.

I dont think I have seen any Phil ......now if it`s drip tips you are looking for!!!!!!

You could use these seniorphil, you would just need a nut with the right thread. Be best if you removed the centre pin to solder a wire onto it and then re-assembled. The heat might damage the insulator.

Lovely, thank you. They're in the basket.
If I can't find a nut a healthy wadge of epoxy putty will secure them. The sort of "Heath Robinson" devices I am creating require a disregard to aesthetics.
I was was looking at a motion sensor switch, every time someone walks past me at work I'll get a lung full.

I have used them like that seniorphil , you probably know this, but give the plastic or metal surface where the adapter is popping through a really good roughening up. Makes all the difference with adhesion with Araldite
