The Just GG is a great mod but is 23mm when most atties tend to be 22mm so aesthetics issues The paps x is the mod that I'd been waiting for a year to be released when along came the nemesis so I got one of them instead, I liked it so much that I got another and 6 clones If I were to bother with another mechanical then it probably would be the paps x. I'm more than happy with the nemesis and have no real desire to purchase any new mechanical mods. As for the atties, I had the original V2 spheroids and sold them on. They vaped very very well indeed when set up properly but I got pi$$ed off with changing out the amount of filler required for different viscosity juices and then juiced fingers every time I refilled it. I can't see the heron being any different so I won't be bothering. Ithaka, I have two - and one is has a kayfun conversion kit inside it because unless you like to go very low ohm dual coil the Ithaka is outperformed by the kayfun. If however you prefer very low ohm vaping then I'd say Ithaka all the way. My set up of choice at the moment is a kicked Nemesis with a kayfun lite on top, a solid workhorse with blistering performance and decent looks. It's the set up that I'll grab as I'm walking out the door. I have tried a taifun GT, a squape, a rose and whilst they provide outstanding vapes I still find the kayfuns to be more consistent and trouble free when I'm out. When I'm in then I'll more likely be using an Immortalizer dripper or if I'm vaping a juice that's better cooked on a low ohm coil then I'll use a Trident. If I'm out somewhere nice then I'll remove a billet box from its protective case and put a V2 diver in its tank, this is the vaping device that I love the most but being alluminium it can scratch very easily so gets used sparingly Aldo, you need to know what type of attie best suits the juice you vape, be it a genny or a silica before you decide on which one to get. For me and my cocomel its silica, cotton or mesh just strips the body from the flavour and leaves a clean and sterile taste, ideally suited to menthol and tobacco flavours. There's a lot more to it than finding out what the experienced vapers use and thinking that that's the best device to get

GP stuff all day every day, I have the X, Lux, & 2.5ss and they are great. I've never been a great fan of GG due to the problems with sellers etc and the despicable way they were treated.

Then It's good to know that you vaped a lot of Whiskey Cream and know which would be more suitable for them blakey (also: PErpetu Leche, Choco Haze, Banoffee) damn... I wanted to avoid go the trial and error again, at least as far as device is concerned I think it all comes down to aesthetics. The big problem lies in the RBA as I see it !

P.S.: I'm not diving into very low Ohm's coils. I'm vaping at 8,5watts atm, with peaks of 9,5 and botts of 8. Would prefer to strip the batts life and put more voltage through a higher resistance atty than using a super low ohm coil !

All those juices that you mention mate work best in a silica attie at between 1.7 - 2.3 ohms and that is kayfun territory but the kayfun is a 22mm attie

the Kayfun is already on it's way to me and it has a pair of its own mate I just want to get a mech mod to fall back on (although I'll use it with a Kick if nothing goes wrong), and was thinking of having a different RBA, because they are so highly rated. I'm quitting on the GG idea though... too much fuss from what I've read! So... you were saying that the Spheroid doesn't match with Griz's well?

On the contrary, the spheroid does a fine job with griz's stuff and easily on par with the kayfun for flavour and vape quality, it just didn't do a fine job with blakey

thanks for your input blakey ! Anyone else would shed some light into this please? GG clearly lost this battle... GP it is for the device, and the RBA is still all open between the Heron, the Spheroid and perhaps there is a remote chance I'll go 2x Kayfun

I'd put another vote in for the GP mods and the Spheroid is just about my favourite, so I will be certainly trying to get a Heron. I believe that at first the Heron will come with a hybrid connection to the PAPS range and will need a conversion adaptor for the PAPS X which will come along later. Having said that, much as I like the PAPS, I have mainly been using the Nemesis lately - in fact I got a second one One nice feature of the Nemesis range is that you can get chamfered tops for them - I have a 16mm one which is great with the Spheroid. The Nemesis comes with all the tubes you need for any battery size, with the PAPS you have to buy the extra tubes. The PAPS X is telescopic but also 23mm, whereas most atties are 22mm. By the way, I never get juice on my fingers when I re-fill my Spheroid blakey Tease-smiley

Just to add another couple of points. The Heron will only be usable on the PAPS range until they bring out a version with a 510 connector which may be some while. I'd also consider the Rose as an alternative to another Kayfun - for me they are at least as good if not better.

Other than the GGTS/Spheroid I've no experience of the other devices you mention Aldo . . . I wouldn't suggest you rush to get a GGTS now either, with some of the other great devices that have come along since the GG heydays. The quest for the perfect device for me finished with my first Provari, the other devices that I've since bought have been to keep myself in poverty as much as anything.

At the watts your thinking of then any of the options will give you a good vape. It's just a question of aesthetics, go with what you like the look of.
