Maybe a daft question, but I have a vamo v2. Is this way behind the times now?
Needs a bit of tlc ie the washer, threads are as snug as they used to be, but it still fires up.
Hmmm .

It it ain't broke don't fix it.
If it works for you why spend more money on another device.

Just making sure its not like a mobile phone ie the newer ones have some more refined technology.
I will hang on to it, tidy it up, get a wrap, sort washer out.
Cheers Mr p.

I always make a point of having at least 7 backup devices lol but that's probably just me and my new infatuation with shinies :-)

I still have my Vamo V1 from what seems like years ago I dont use it very much now but I would never get rid of it. It was my first mod that took re-chargable batteries. I have had to change the grommet under the pin but that aside, it has never skipped a beat. As Zeldamum said, If it is still doing the job for you, then why change, unless you have that shiny disease.

IF you treat your vamo kindly you will be waiting a long while for it to die.

I've had to change the grommet on my V2 a couple of times, & it often takes several tries to get it to turn on. So I bought an SVD.
I suspect the grommet on the SVD isn't all that different to the one on the vamo. It'll last longer than the vamo though, because I know to be careful with it.
The on/off system on the SVD is different, and so I don't expect that to be a problem.
Apart from that, I marginally prefer the vamo. It is a little slimmer, and the menu system is a little better.
